Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you level the ball head with this like regular ball head tripod?

A: Yes

Q: 2. Would this work with the Sachtler Ace tripod?

A: Yes, if it has a 75mm ball head. It should work with all 75mm ball head tripod heads.

Q: 3. Does this adapter plate also fit the original DJI Ronin?

A: The RigWheels Ronin-M Mounting Adapter Plate B&H # RIRAMP will work on all three Ronin models.

Q: 4. Will this work with the Ronin 2?

A: Not that we are aware of. However DJI offers the Universal Mount for Ronin 2, B&H # DJCPZM005801. DJI already offers a product for this function. https://bhpho.to/2Tv57vZ

Q: 5. Which one to get 75mm or 100mm hi hat? I know the difference in size and weight but which would be better for still photography? Thanx.

A: Better depends on what you are doing. Most likely the smaller 75mm will be more than adequate for still photography. 100mm is better for cameras that are larger than most any still camera being used today.

Q: 6. I have the Magnus REX VT-6000 2-Stage Video Tripod with Fluid Head. Would that head fit on this or would I need adapter plate?

A: Yes, the head for the Magnus REX VT-6000 2-Stage Video Tripod with Fluid Head is compatible to be used with the Benro 75mm Hi-Hat.

Q: 7. What are the dimensions at the widest point? 4.7"?

A: Yes, this product is widest at 4.7 inches.

Q: 8. Hi all. I can't tell from the photos but does this come with a 3/8" stud on a platform so I can mount a ball head on it? Or will I need to buy a half ball leveling adapter to get the stud? Thank you.

A: A 3/8"-16 Low-Profile Tie-Down Adapter is defined as being included, but to properly mount any devices and achieve proper leveling, we recommend a half ball leveling adapter.

Q: 9. Does this fit the ronin-s plate?

A: It does not. This product is designed to work with the gimbals only from the Ronin, Ronin M or Ronin MX product. You would remove the gimbal portion from the dual handles on any of those products and then mount just the gimbal to a tripod, jib or car mount. DJI offers a specific product that that same functionality with the Ronin-S, B&H # DJUNVRSLP20. https://bhpho.to/2R7ZMFw

Q: 10. When mounting to a slider, how much stability is lost by raising the head and camera 6"? Am I better off just buying a flat-base head?

A: The ikan IK-RSR6 Hi-Hat Riser (6") (B&H# IKIKRSR6) simply raises the point of connection between the slider and the camera by around six inches. First, it should be said that even when not using a hi-hat, most uses of a slider will nevertheless still use a head such as a typical tripod head that is around 2.5-3" (6.35-7.6cm) tall anyway. Yes, raising the head even higher will make the slider more top heavy. However, whether or not that is a problem will depend on many factors and will well be worth it to video shooters wanting to use a half ball to be able to take the shot at a particular angle. If the load capacity of the slider can handle the extra weight then it should still be sufficiently stable, especially when used flat.

[0.465 lb] This good looking ikan riser works perfectly with our E-Image 75mm Bowl Attachment Knob (see photos). We have an E-Image head attached to it. Not sure of that model number of head but what a match made in heaven. We use Manfrotto heads and their attachment handles with our tripods. We've read that Manfrotto's long tightening handles are too long to fit inside this ikan riser. Manfrotto makes a shorter one. The E-Image adjustment knob is cupped and seats precisely on ikan's bowl bottom as if it was made for it. We have this ensemble attached to our Rhino slider and works exceptionally well. Hope this review helps you find the right components to rock your images.

[Flat] This riser / hihat will give you solid bang for the buck, with zero complexity and artistry of design that could be found in the Moma. I cannot attest to its longevity as I just purchased it, that being said the quality of the metal finish and the overall thickness of the tool is noteworthy so it looks built to last. I like the fact that you can use it not only as a hihat, but also as a riser for use on a slider. Very functional. When you compare it to other products in its class the price is less than half but the quality is at bare minimum equal. You get major value for your dollars here.

[0.465 lb] I've owned a Benro BV8 tripod for several years and wanted to own a pair of 75mm Baby Legs. I've used a lot of other options, Sachtler and such. And I have to say these ones are superior.

The build quality is amazing, you can get the camera so low in comparison with other baby legs. They come with different feet options for dirt and uneven surfaces as well as a small
short Tie-Down thread to hold the tripod head. Since the one on the Bv8 is super long.

The only regret I have is maybe I should've bought the 100mm version for the future if a expand to bigger Tripod Heads.

[Flat] This thing is strong and sturdy yet compact and light weight. I didn't expect to love it as much as I do. Has accessories and everything (except a head) to get you going. Love the bag. Used it in studio and desert. Very agile. Lots of ways to mount and swappable feet. Gets low as your head allows. Highly recommend.
