A: The Rycote Lavalier Windjammers may be too small to fit the Lom Mikrousi Lavalier Microphones since they are intended for use with mics that have a 4.5mm diameter and the Lom mic has a 6.8 mm diameter. A better option may be the Bubblebee Industries Windbubble Miniature Imitation-Fur Windscreen - Lav Size 2, 35mm, Black (B&H # BUBBIL02B) which will fit with the foam windscreen underneath. The Bubblebee Windbubble fits mics that have a diameter of 5 to 8 mm.

Q: 4. If you mount this item like pictured, what is the point of the velcro? It has no way of latching. It seems like it is supposed to cinch around the mic part itself, but then there's way to much room in the front. Also, am I supposed to leave the foam on?

A: The wind protection works best with the foam in place. When I tighten the velcro around the barrel and then pulls it back into the notch between the barrel and the body, I get a very nice and snug fit.

Q: 5. Can this windjammer be used with a Sennheiser ME-4 lav mic?

A: I use it fine with the ME-2 lav mic. I have never used it with the ME-4 which is a little fatter on top but this windjammer stretches and looks like it should fit the ME-4. The windjammer only cost $20 so you might order it and try it out and if it doesnt work with your mic then you can return it.

A: Even though the MKE40 is a larger diameter lapel than the microphones the jammer is design to be used with,the elastic opening of the jammer is quite liberal and would go over the 40.
