Q: 7. does the battery door close so the camera will turn on?

Q: 8. Will this work with a BlackMagic Pocket 4K?

A: Yes, the ZILR USB Type-C to Canon LP-E6 Dummy Battery Cable will work with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.

Q: 9. What type of protection does this device provide to assure that my camera will not be damaged, i.e output voltage regulation, short circuit protection, overvoltage protection?

A: The ZILR USB Type-C to Canon LP-E6 Dummy Battery Cable (B&H# ZIZRUCDB04) is designed to produce the appropriate electrical power for cameras using Canon LP-E6 series batteries (e.g. LP-E6, LP-E6N, and LP-E6NH) based upon a standard USB Power Delivery (PD) source. Canon mirrorless cameras that accept PD-compliant power sources typically work well when that source is 45W or more. PD technology determines the appropriate power requirements and then electricity is delivered at the most beneficial voltage and amperage from the power source (e.g. a PD-capable battery pack, a PD-rated AC adapter, etc.) Thus the process by which the appropriate determination is made depends not just on the cable but also on the PD-compliant source. The specifications of the process and configuration of the regulation and sensing techniques are standardized. However, the process and any regulation that may occur after such a transformation occurs is not disclosed by the manufacturer.

Q: 10. will it work with Canon R6 II?

[SAFETAP D-Tap] So far this has worked well. I had another cheaper brand that failed and started smoking. Scary when it’s inside your camera.

[Canon LP-E6] I have two of these - one for Canon body, one for Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera. When the cameras are powered from a 98 WH IDX battery with D-taps, I can run the cameras literally all-day without worrying when the battery needs to be changed.

So far everything works perfectly - no problems with fit, no problems with function. Nothing gets hot. Very happy with these adapters.

[SAFETAP D-Tap] Long cable is very useful, attached it to my Smallhd 702 and never looses power.
The long cable makes it very versatile especially when I use the ronin mx. No more canon or massive sony batteries.

[11-28 VDC] I meet the IndiPro Tool guys a few years ago at NAB in Las Vegas. I was in the market for batteries, back plates, etc. , and found IndiPro Tools. I thought I would give them a try because their prices were good and their reps a the show were very helpful. Their customer service has been fantastic. Thats not to say I have had problems with their products, but when I have questions about what battery I need, or what cables i need for new cameras, they are very responsive.

This cable works very well. I have used them on monitors and my Canon 5D Mark II. I highly recommend IndiPro Tools products.

[Canon LP-E6] Having a rig is already heavy enough and cable managing was another issue that I had to solve. With this IndiPro dummy battery, I could minimize the effort of organizing the cable and works great!

Strongly recommended!

[SAFETAP D-Tap] I didn't realize how much use I would get out of these cables. I mainly use them to power some of our SmallHD monitors either from the D-Tap port on the Ronin or out of our IndiPRO battery plates on our cameras. I also recently started using it with my Canon 5D Mark III while shooting timelapses. I don't have a plate specifically for the 5D, but I borrow a different plate and use this cable to keep the camera powered for 10+ hour timelapses
