Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can you replace battery?

A: Probably. Printing on the bottom of the case advises to disconnect the power from the wall outlet before servicing the battery. The printing also advises that there are no user serviceable parts inside. Printing on the box states that the expected battery life to 3 to 6 years.

Q: 2. will this work with my bx1000g?

A: No, you would need B&H# APCRBC123.

Q: 3. When AC grid power is restored, will the UPS turn on automatically, power up all connected devices and charge battery?

A: Yes, the CyberPower CP1500PFC will turn back on when power is restored. This is a setting you can change if you would prefer it to stay off until manually switched back on again.

Q: 4. Can this UPS be used to clean up dirty power from less expensive back up generator?

A: NO! This is not a double conversion design, so it will pass through dirty power, unless you are on battery. This is true for almost all battery backups, as double conversion designs are less efficient.

Q: 5. If my PC has a 1200 watt Power supply will this be strong enough at 900 watts? Is this a pass through design?

A: The 900 watt rating is how many watts it will deliver when on battery. It's rated at 1500 watts pass-through when on line power. Even though your computer has a 1200 watt power supply, it more than likely never pulls that much. Most modern computers only draw 100-200 watts when idle or doing light tasks like email/web browsing. If you have 2-3 high-end power hungry video cards, are doing rendering or video processing, with a pile of hard drives, you could start getting up to the 900 watt limit. Buy a kill-a-watt and measure for sure. Also note that at 100% utilization on battery (drawing 900 watts) the run time is very short; maybe a minute or two. My workstation has an 850 watt power supply, a single GeForce 960 video card, i7-6700k, 16gb ram, 4 hdds and an ssd. With the router, a switch, and 2 monitors, I draw 350 watts when playing games & working on video encoding. I get approx. 15 minutes runtime. Idle it uses 75-100 watts, and a 30 min run time.

Q: 6. Can this be used horizontally and the lcd screen rotated?

A: No it is not able to do so.

Q: 7. Is this product Underwriter Laboratories Certified, and if so, to what specifications?

A: The CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS is UL 1778.

Q: 8. Is this IMac compatible? It only mentions Windows in the description. thanks

A: Hello Patti, Yes, the unit as well as the accompanying software is compatible with Mac OS. Thank you for submitting your question!

Q: 9. Does it convert voltage from 220 volts to 120 volts?

A: This is a backup power supply that will provide 120 VAC in case of a power failure. The input and output are 120 VAC, so NO conversion.

Q: 10. Can this software be installed on macOS Catalina? I am getting errors that it can't be checked by Apple.

A: Hold the Control key down when installing the .dmg file. That will display an "open" icon.

[0 to 90%] My CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD was randomly dropping power to everything that was connected to it. All it needed was a new battery. The old battery was 6 years old. Now it operates perfectly. B&H had a great price, and it shipped quickly. Had it in a couple days.

[26.5 lb] The battery was delivered for free 1 day earlier than promised. The online instructions for replacing the old battery were clear and easy to follow. The battery works great (I removed the plug from the outlet to test it).

[12 VDC] Been trying to locate this UPS replacement battery pack for my CyberPower CP1350PFCLCD UPS without much success last few months. B&H came through and was able to acquire stock after a few weeks on waiting list. Price was same as OEM without any markup. Fit perfectly.

[26.5 lb] Other batteries were individual and require you to connect them together. This was an easy plug and play operation.

[Lead-Acid] The only problem I had was the instructions did not say remove the battery connection cable before trying to pulling the battery from the case. You need to disconnect the cable or the battery will not come out. The battery works well.

[0 to 90%] They're replacement batteries for a UPS, so there's not too much to say. You plug them in and that's it. They're heavy, so don't drop them on your feet :).

As a side node, the UPS I'm using them in, the CyberPower 1350PFCLCD has no obvious way of showing the status of the batteries (current charge or goodness of the batteries compared to when they're new), but that's not the fault of these batteries themselves.
