Designed for data centers and other electrically demanding applications, the CyberPower PDU15M2F12R 14-Outlet Metered PDUfrom CyberPower PDU15M2F12R 14-Outlet Metered PDUprovides an output of 100-125V at 15A (derated to 12A). It distributes that power to 14 NEMA 5-15R outlets (2 front, 12 rear) from a single 15' NEMA 5-15P plug with unfiltered electrical passthrough. The current draw for connected equipment is displayed in amps on the front LCD for real-time load monitoring.

The PDU15M2F12R has a rugged, industrial-grade metal housing and can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. It is ETL/RoHS certified and includes a cord retention tray, a screw kit, a cord clip kit, horizontal mounting brackets, and vertical mounting brackets. Protection is provided by a limited lifetime warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and conditions.

Q: 1. Are the batteries replaceable and, if so, what battery and how difficult is it to replace them?

A: Yes they are replaceable. One small screw on the bottom and the cover slides, then lifts off. Slide the battery part way out and disconnect the (2) wires. Reverse to install new battery. We use (2) Duracell Ultra (# DURA12-9f2) batteries. Which are 12V 9AH AGM batteries.

Q: 5. Is the power light suppose to stay lit all of the time? My power light is off most of the time, but occasionally flickers on/off. Does this mean the battery is low?

Q: 6. can you turn off beeps and such so it can be used in a bedroom?

A: The CyberPower ST425 8-Outlet Standby UPS does not allow alarm sounds to be disabled.

Q: 7. I noticed since plugging my iMac into this, it's shut off unexpectedly twice. Why is this all of a sudden happening and is it because of the battery? It never did it before.

A: Yes, it is Mac compatible and compatible with the two NAS servers that I use.

Q: 10. Are the batteries hot swapable?

A: The batteries are not hot-swappable.

[5.665 lb] These PDUs are a mix of old school architecture (24-NEMA 5-20R output connectors) and state-of-the-art design (2nd generation bright blue LCD display and metered-by-outlet / switchable outlets). Most data centers can be almost universally powered by 208V sources, these days, but you might just have a good reason to use NEMA 5-20P cables for your gear. These PDUs are as good as you can get for this application! 5

[Yes] My company has purchased over 20 of these units and all are rack mounted in a production server environment. The quality of the unit is top notch and the 15 foot cord is more than enough to get to where it's needed. The bright LED AMP meter is easy to read at a distance and the included twist lock adapter is an added bonus. I would recommend these units to anyone that has the need to monitor their power usage to prevent a circuit from being over capacity. 5

[15 A] Sometimes you don’t need a big, elaborate PDU for small rack applications. This one is ideal if you don’t require many outputs (this one has [8] NEMA 5-15R connectors), but you still want to know (remotely) if all of your loads are powered up and are functioning properly. A NEMA 5-15P input connector makes everything simple to install. This is a nice PDU for simple applications! 5

[15 A] We've used these and other metered by outlet PDU's on multiple installs. Have always come back to the APC because of the accuracy, quality and value. Would only use these going forward. 5

[Metal] This is a very compact PDU which is perfect for those applications that don’t require or allow a full 72” ZeroU device. Being only 35.5” in height, it can be much easier to install in tight spaces! Each of the (10) NEMA 5-15R outputs is metered for current monitoring, with a 2nd generation, bright blue LCD display for easy readability. A NEMA 5-15P input connector makes everything simple to install. This is a nice PDU for simple applications! 5
