Use the Wooden Camera WC Pro Battery Plate for Digital Bolex, Blackmagic, Sonyfrom Wooden Camera WC Pro Battery Plate for Digital Bolex, Blackmagic, Sonyto power your Digital Bolex, Blackmagic Studio, or Sony F55/F5 camera with a long-lasting V-mount battery. This plate has a right-angle 4-pin XLR connector and features three D-Tap accessory ports (12 to 16V), a digital fuse with a reset button, a rear cover plate, and captive mounting screws. The 16" cable on the right side of the plate provides a quick connection to your camera.

If the user exceeds the set current for accessories only the accessory outputs are disabled, leaving the camera running normally. Once the current load has been reduced by either removing accessories or reconfiguring, the reset button can be pressed to enable accessory power again.

A: Hi Taras, this Pro Gold Mount has a special Molex connector that attaches directly to back of Blackmagic URSA and is covered by the plate, therefore eliminating external cabling. It will pass the required 12V of power to the camera for proper operation. The integrated D-Taps on the battery plate will provide unregulated power (12V-16V) for additional accessories.

A: As a former motion picture camera assistant, one of the greatest fears is the camera stopping in the middle of a take. Therefore using a P-Tap is particularly nerve racking since there is no locking mechanism to the plug. Therefore I would highly recommend a proper plate for each camera. It appears that the cameras can do their own regulation.

[0.535 lb] Plate actually comes with two P-tap ports. Also comes with screws for the plate, the AB one does not. No extra fuse included but you get the fuse with the AB version on the BH site. Fuse is soldered in on this plate as well. So a quick swap of that would be difficult. 5

[0.535 lb] I had a plate finally die and decided to get this one with 2 p-taps instead of one and I'm very glad. I've usually had the plates with just one p-tap, so most of the time, I'm running a second tap and using the little splitter cube. Now most of the time I can skip the second tap. I screw this into the IDX 15mm LWS plate, and another plus is this particular battery plate doesn't require the metal adapter plate that comes with the IDX plate, so I also shaved a few ounces. My old v-mount plate was made of some more brittle plastic and had several cracks and chips in it, which is another reason I'm happy with this plate. The price is not bad either, especially when you consider the cost of a p-tap splitter...which often won't be needed since this has two p-taps. 5

[Connector] Works great with my Core XP-L90 battery to power a Sony A7S and Atomos Ninja Flame from the dual D-Tap ports. The port on top of the plate has a bit more space underneath the connector when compared to the D-Tap port on the side. This was actually extremely helpful for me since the dummy battery cable for my A7S doesn't fit in the port on the side since it's seemingly a bit thicker than normal. No other D-Tap accessories that I've tried have had this clearance problem. When attached to a Shape CP33 Cheese Plate the entire setup is rock solid. The battery release latch is also extremely satisfying. 5

[0.535 lb] Like the other reviewer here, I bought a second version and it comes with two D-tap ports now. Don't mind the upgrade and it definitely helps with powering more accessories on the rig. 5
