The 2.8" Wooden Camera NATO Rail ARRI-Style Mount 2.8" 1.67"from Wooden Camera NATO Rail ARRI-Style Mount 2.8" 1.67"attaches to your camera or other device using any two 1/4"-20 holes up to 1.67" apart on-center. This rail features an ARRI-style anti-twist accessory mount on one end and a spring-loaded safety pin on the other.

Use this rail to mount NATO handles, clamps, and other accessories on your camera. It is compatible with RED and third-party NATO-style accessories.

Q: 1. Are accessories releasable from either end?

A: Yes, you can release accessories from either end of the SmallRig Low-Profile NATO Rail (2.8").

Q: 2. How much weight can this handle vertically?

A: You should avoid mounting more than a couple items on the NATO rail at once. The manufacturer doesn't specify how much weight this NATO rail can hold but it can hold a majority of accessories that are meant for the Komodo.

Q: 3. Does it work on the Komodo link adapter? Now that it has been out a while.

A: Yes, The 8sinn NATO rail would connect to the 1/4 20 connection points of the RED Komodo link adapter.

Q: 4. How does this mount lock onto the NATO rail? In the pictures I don't see any kind of handle or set screw to tighten it in place.

A: The 8Sinn ARRI NATO Rosette 28mm Mount would slide on to the Safety NATO Rail, and the safety pin on the rail would keep it from sliding off. This would be locked in a single position once one attaches the Arri accessory to it. It has a mechanism whereby it is tightened in place when an accessory is attached.

Q: 5. Is there an equivalent item with a 1/4-20 Screw instead? I bought this for my Shinobi 7 but the screw is wrong.

A: It should, although since this is a new item that as of this writing is not yet available in our warehouses, we have not tested the pairing.

Q: 7. Is the NATO side male or female?

A: The 8Sinn ARRI NATO Rosette 28mm Mount's NATO connection is a female NATO rail receiver.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with nato rails?

A: The Wooden Camera Bolt-On Accessory Rail Clamp is not NATO compatible. It would require Wooden Camera's Mini Accessory Rails.

Q: 9. Can it be attach on the Komodo outrigger handle?

A: The 8Sinn Nato Rail does not attach to the RED Komodo Outrigger Handle.

Q: 10. Are the locating pins on the arri rosette side retractable?

A: Smallrig only indicates that the top (Brass) locating pins of the SmallRig NATO Rail with ARRI-Style Accessory Mount are retractable.

[0.12 lb] This is such an amazing little piece of gear. Makes it quick and easy to pop on and off gear from my rig (articulating arms, monitors, audio recorders, etc). No need to spin your monitor or friction arm around in circles every time you need to put it on and off. Great is great quality and the safety pins are great as well. BUT the only issues I've had seems to be with quality control of the products from Wooden Camera. So I've ordered this nato rail, the nato rail friction arm as well as two RED pogo to pogo plugs. There has been an issue with every single piece I've received. Both NATO packages had badly machined screws and one pogo was missing screws and the other had faulty thumb screws. Wooden Cameras service was amazingly quick and replaced the screws in a second. I'm still waiting to see what they do with the pogos. So as a product itself I give it 5 stars. Wooden Camera's service is also 5 stars so far. But I'd say overall consistency of all of their products being made to standard is 2 STARS. 5

[0.12 lb] This is by far my favorite side handle. Not only does it feel good in my hand, I like that it sticks forward a little instead of being exactly at the side of the camera cage. It's just a more comfortable way to hold it, especially at lower angles. I've bought two for both of my handheld rigs, and everyone that has used it agrees it's the best they've used. 5

[1.26 oz / 36 g] Bought this to solve an issue with our Ninja V monitors (Arri locating pin mounts won't attach at the aRRI locating pin mounting points on the monitor. Locating pin holes seem to be a bit too far from the 3/8 hole. 5
