Delivers AC power to servers, equipment, and connected devices via a power distribution unit.

Safeguards against an accidental power shutdown.

Provides local and remote control for individual and multiple outlets. Local control: turn on/turn off outlets and disable unused outlets. Remote control: restart outlets and devices, turn on/turn off, schedule power on/off sequencing, and disable unused outlets.

Built into Switched PDUs, a CyberPower Management Console is a hardware interface. Users can remotely switch individual PDU outlets or circuits on and off, either immediately or on a schedule, in order to power cycle connected equipment. It monitors the incoming power and power draw from the PDU, sends notifications based on the power status, and logs events.

The user is able to track PDU vitals both offsite and onsite. It also provides control to turn on/off individual outlets or circuits.

Provide immediate updates about power events via email, SMS text, or SNMP traps.

Download improvements (firmware updates) to programs that run the PDU.

Provides up-to-date status information about the PDU and power situation and allows for local setup and configuration.

Highly durable construction helps ensure the efficient distribution of power in demanding IT or industrial environments to servers, equipment, and connected devices.

The 12' cord reaches distant power sources, allowing the PDU to be placed where it's needed.

Secures an outlet by twisting and locking into place to prevent accidental disconnection.

Secures power cords, keeping them organized and accessible. It also helps cords stay plugged in.

Allows for the installation of the PDU in the following configurations: 0 RU (vertical, under counter, and wall mount), 1 RU (horizontal, vertical, under counter, and wall mount), and 2 RU (horizontal and wall mount).

Protects internal components and resists damage from impact or abrasions within challenging industrial environments. Also extends the life of the product.

Covers defects in materials and workmanship in the product under normal use and conditions. within three years of the purchase date.

Q: 1. If my PC has a 1200 watt Power supply will this be strong enough at 900 watts? Is this a pass through design?

A: The 900 watt rating is how many watts it will deliver when on battery. It's rated at 1500 watts pass-through when on line power. Even though your computer has a 1200 watt power supply, it more than likely never pulls that much. Most modern computers only draw 100-200 watts when idle or doing light tasks like email/web browsing. If you have 2-3 high-end power hungry video cards, are doing rendering or video processing, with a pile of hard drives, you could start getting up to the 900 watt limit. Buy a kill-a-watt and measure for sure. Also note that at 100% utilization on battery (drawing 900 watts) the run time is very short; maybe a minute or two. My workstation has an 850 watt power supply, a single GeForce 960 video card, i7-6700k, 16gb ram, 4 hdds and an ssd. With the router, a switch, and 2 monitors, I draw 350 watts when playing games & working on video encoding. I get approx. 15 minutes runtime. Idle it uses 75-100 watts, and a 30 min run time.

Q: 2. Can you use a short extender on the outlet on the back of the UPS so that a wider external hard drive plug does not cause you to overlap the outlet beside it?

A: This will work, but the doc's say no extensions. I would imagine the only issue might be in a warranty claim situation - technically a short cable is going to make no difference in performance.

Q: 3. Will this rack/mount work with the Quasar Science Q-25X, Crossfade Linear 25W LED Lamp, 2'?

A: Yes, the Quasar Science T-12 Quad Quasar Plate with Switched Power Cable Kit would be compatible for use with the Quasar Science Q-25X Crossfade Linear LED Bi-Color Light (2').

Q: 4. Can you use a 2 Ft. 14 gauge extension cord with the CP 1500PFCLCD? I did use it for several years with a older CP1350PFCLCD. Or is a 2 Ft. 12 gauge extension cord better to use?

A: A 14ga extension cord should be adequate for the wattage capabilities of the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS.

Q: 5. How long does it last on Battery power

A: I have experienced one power outage and one brown out . In each case, I chose to finish my work within five minutes and shut down the computer, so I am not able to say with certainty how long the unit will operate on battery power. The accompanying product literature states that the estimated run time of the unit is 129 minutes.

Q: 6. Says takes 2 12 volt batteries? Hard to believe. Can't find a small 12 v battery that would fit.

A: Yes, the CyberPower AVR Series CP900AVR UPS, B&H # CYP900AV, does take two 12V batteries. The specific battery that is listed on CyberPower's website for this unit is not currently for sale at B&H: https://bit.ly/3UrEbwh.

Q: 7. Are the batteries hot swapable?

A: Hello, This unit is not hot-swappable. However, the battery is user replaceable. Thank you for your question.

Q: 8. Is the software compatible with Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit?

A: Yes.Go to cyberpowersystems .com / products / software(Extra spaces added above so server won't block link! Remove extra spaces.)Good luck

Q: 9. Does this communicate via usb to equipment?

A: Hello daniel, Yes, this unit communicates via USB to equipment. Thank you for your question.

Q: 10. I plan to use the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD for my electronics work bench. When doing an initial test of an old radio or test equipment for the first time I bring the power up slowly from a variac. If the variac it getting its power from the UPS would this cause a problem?

A: It should not as long as it does not exceed the UPS capabilities but we could not guarantee it.
