Arista Ortho Litho 3.0 Film 16x20 10 Sheetsfrom Arista Ortho Litho 3.0 Film 16x20 10 Sheetsis a line and halftone camera film designed for pre-press applications. As a high-contrast film, it is characterized by a very steep gradation and gradation tone, along with a wide density range with high Dmax and low Dmin values for enhanced UV transmission. For halftone, high-contrast applications, rapid access processing in ACD chemistry, such as Majestic 650, is recommended; for continuous tone use, diluted B&W paper developers are recommended for lower contrast results.

For easy handling of the film, the emulsion incorporates a dedicated layer to prevent Newton rings, as well as separate anti-static and anti-stress layers to protect against dust, scratches, and other damage. Additionally, it can be handled and processed under a red safe light.

This item is one box of 10 sheets of 16 x 20" film.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it work for the Kodak Colorburst 250?

A: This film would not work with a Kodak Colorburst 250, since that camera used specific instant film.

Q: 2. Is this a continuous-tone film, or a "lith" type emulsion (very high contrast) for repro work?

A: The Ilford Ortho Plus Black and White Negative Film (12 x 20", 25 Sheets) is Orthochromatic B&W Negative Film. It is high contrast. Ideal for Tech. & Half-Tone Applications.

Q: 3. So I can’t load it to 4x5 sheet film holder then how do I use it ?

A: The Arista Ortho Litho 3.0 Film is a type of high contrast production film. If one would trim the film down, it would be possible to fit it into a 4x5 holder. Paying attention to what side the emulsion is, can definitely be a challenge. This type of film would be used for contact reproduction rather than regular photography.

Q: 4. Someone can informe me about the reciprocity of the Ilford Ortho Copy + 4x5? i want to use this film with a pinhole camera.

A: On page two of the following PDF, there is a graph that shows the amount of time you would need to add to various metered exposure times. http://bit.ly/1V4RhsS

Q: 5. What is the expiration date of this film ?

A: As of 2/1/2024 the Arista EDU Ultra 400 Black and White Negative Film (4 x 5", 50 Sheets) expiration date is 8/2026, This is subject to change.

Q: 6. Will this film work for Kodak Trimprint 940 Instant camera?

A: It will not, this film is for 4x5 cameras.

Q: 7. What is the sensitivity of this film?

A: This film is rated 5 iso.

Q: 8. Is this 100 sheets as in the title / description or 10 sheets as in the circle in the image?

A: This would be 100 sheets.

Q: 9. Hi, is this trimmed for use in 4X5 film holders?

A: It is sized as standard 4x5 film for film holders.

Q: 10. Would this work on the Kodamatic pleaser II?

A: No, the Kodak Pleaser II is an instant camera and would take something similar to Kodak Instant Color film, not 4x5" film.

[2.245 lb] Really nice fine grain film when you get a process that works. Great fun to experiment with and very capable with practice. Note the 5x7 version measures 5x7. Standard cut film sizes are actually smaller, so if you want to use this with modern film holders the 4.9x6.9 version is what you want. Have fun!!

[10 Sheets] Litho film; for darkroom laboratory work. As expected this is a high contrast film. This is an orthocromatic film, and as such can be handled with red safety light for darkroom. This emulsion can also provide mid-gray depending on the exposure and the chemical process. We have used it to make some enlargements from 35mm and medium format black and white negatives with good end results
