Upgrade your CTRL.1 lens controller with the Teradek RT Lens Mapping CTRL.1 Focus Iris Rings Feetwhich also includes five pre-marked focus rings and one pre-marked iris ring.

For quick lens changes during a shoot, a separately available lens mapping firmware upgrade allows you to auto-calibrate a variety of lenses to your controller using the included rings with one touch of a button. This set of marking rings features measurements in feet and includes a card with the lens mapping firmware activation code for the CTRL.1 controller.

The optional firmware also supports a Lens Data Overlay feature that integrates with SmallHD monitors running OS3 monitor firmware. It allows lens data such as focal distance, focal length, zoom, iris, and other information to be displayed right on the monitor.

Q: 1. will it work with Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera?

A: While the Micro Cinema Camera is still in its release phase and has not been yet been tested with all LANC controllers Blackmagic Cameras use the Sony/Canon LANC Protocol, so this controller will not work. Manfrotto however makes Sony/Canon LANC units that do work with Blackmagic Cameras and should work with the Micro Cinema Camera as well. The RC Clamp LANC is even listed as an accessory for the Micro Cinema Camera on Blackmagic's Website.

Q: 2. Will this work on my HPX250?

A: Yes, this controller will work with the HPX-250.

Q: 3. does it work on the gh4, and is the big wheel for the servo of the lens?

A: No, unfortunately this is not compatible as the GH4 does not have the 2.5 or 3.5mm connection to work with this unit. The large wheel will allow you to control focus on a compatible camera such as the AG-DVX100B or AG-HVX200.

Q: 4. How long is the cable?

A: The included cable is 40 inches long.

Q: 5. What is the difference between the Motr.s Max and the Motr.s?

A: As the Teradek RT MOTR.S Max Lens Motor systems are new releases, our data on the products are limited. Teradek has provided details on the Teradek RT MOTR.S Lens Motor, but we are awaiting further details on the Teradek RT MOTR.S Max Lens Motor, which should be forthcoming shortly.

A: We're afraid not. This product is designed to work with the Latitude and MK3.1 systems, we are not aware of its ability to work with Heden products as well.

Q: 7. May VAVZPFI work with AG-DVX200?

A: This should work just fine with the DVX200. We even recommend this Focus/Iris Controller in a kit with a Zoom and Record controller for the DVX200.

Q: 8. Does this work with Panasonic hc-x1500 & hc-x2000?

A: As of 12/09/2020, the ToF.1 is compatible with the Teradek RT MDR.X, CTRL.1 and CTRL.3.

A: The Teradek RT Cinetape Interface Cable (2') will not initiate an autofocus mode between the Cinetape, MDR.X, and CTRL.3.

[0.555 lb] With this unit attached to the trpod handle there is no need to touch the camera.Finger tip control means better framing & compsition. No more fumbling with cotrolls on the camera body. 5

[0.555 lb] I’ve been looking at this cable since it was announced, very curious on how the mdrx and cinetape integration works. It’s also very unclear to which version or models of cinetape it has to be, is it Cinematography Electronics, cinebug or Arri so to answer some questions. This works with the C. E. Cinetape original and cinetape 2 although still unclear about the other models it works with the original cinetape makers. This is a direct connection from the mdrx aux 1 port into the cinetape’s remote port. It’s very easy to set up and depending on the condition of your cinetape works extremely well and awesome paired with the ctrl 1 or 3 hand units and small hd monitors. 5

[0.555 lb] First let me say I am a long time satisfied user of Varizoom products. Bought this device for use with a new Panasonic AC130. Before purchising I never could get a definite answer from B&H or Varizoom if it would work on this camera, but it does. I really like the unit. I was expecting to purchase just a focus remote and was pleased to discover the it allows iris adjustment as well. This is my first time ever in 27 years of video production work adjusting the iris from a tripod handle. Focus adjusts very quickly and accurately. Highly recommend. 5

[0.555 lb] I had my cable go bad a week ago and I ordered a new one and it worked perfectly. Always double check that it works as sometimes the different Teradek cables I've bought didn't work right out of the box. Anytime I've had that issue B&H replaced the damaged item quickly. 5

[0.555 lb] Does what it is supposed to do, and appears sturdy, well made and reliable. I use this with a Panasonic HMC80 to control focus and iris when the camera is on a tripod. It makes it easier to concentrate on framing the shot without having to reach around the whole rig to operate the lens controls directly. It is especially useful in conjunction with the VariZoom remote zoom controller (which I have mounted on the other tripod handle). It is not quite as easy to operate ergonomically as the old-style flexible-shaft focus remotes on studio cameras, but there's no mechanical backlash, and this electronic approach is much cheaper and more compact. 5

[0.555 lb] If there was one thing I was never crazy about on my HMC-40, it was the locations and functionality of the iris and focus controls. When using a tripod in particular, it is fairly difficult to use either. Not only that, but the iris becomes even harder to control if you use the view screen on the side. This controller made my life so much easier! The focus has a shorter throw to it, so I don't have to turn the giant ring on the front so many times, and can do it without reaching all the way to the front of the camera. Both controls on the remote do take a bit of practice, however, to know approximately how far to turn so you don't go too far. I may even try to figure out a way to use this when I shoot handheld, I like the feel so much! A must have for any tripod shooting though, I don't know how I ever lived without it before! 5
