Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What kind of additional wireless connection need to use with speakers?

A: This system has an unbalanced 1/4 output and a balanced XLR out. To use with wireless speakers, you need a system with those inputs that can transmit the wireless signal to your speakers. This cannot transmit directly to speakers.

Q: 2. Does it have handling noise?

A: The Samson Concert 288 SWC288HQ6 Dual-Handheld 16-Channel True Diversity Wireless System has a low signal to noise ratio of 85 dB. With normal use, handling noise for the handheld transmitters should be minimal or not noticeable.

Q: 3. Can I get a black wooden stand for the Alesis Concert keyboard?

A: Unfortunately Alesis does not make a wooden stand for the Concert. We do offer digital pianos that do have wooden stands, but the are quite a bit more expensive than the Concert. They do, however, offer many features besides the stand that are important to a piano player, like weighted keys and better response. This is an example: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1197900-REG/casio_px160csu_px_160_privia_88_key_digital.html

Q: 4. can I get a headset mic and a guitar system? with the 288

A: Unfortunately Samson does not offer a bundle that comes with the headset and guitar cable for it. The closest you can get to it would be to get a Samson Concert 288 that comes with two belt pack transmitters like B&H # SASWC288PRSI (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1121211-REG/samson_swc288pres_i_concert_288_presentation_dual_channel.html) with the Samson GC32 guitar cable to use with one of the belt packs. http://www.samsontech.com/samson/products/accessories/samson-parts-and-accessories/swagc32/

Q: 5. Will the handheld mic accept a heil capsule or is it not replaceable ?

A: This is not replacable.

Q: 6. Will a heil capsule work on the handheld mic , using the base as the transmitter to the receiver for better bass solo sounds?

A: This will only work with the Samson capsule

Q: 7. I see that the microphones are powered by AA batteries. What about the receiver? Can the receiver be run off of battery power, or does it need to be plugged into a wall outlet?

A: Hello, Thank you for contacting Samson Technologies. The receiver for this system runs off of a power supply that can connect into a wall outlet. This power supply is included within the unit. If you have any other questions or inquiries, please let me know at any time. Best Regards, James

Q: 8. Can this system connect with speakers wirelessly?

A: If you have a power speaker you can connect the receiver with the speaker using the XLR Output to XLR speaker Input. Yes, is possible.

Q: 9. Can you use both at the same time?

A: No, only one transmitter from the Samson Concert 88 Camera Combo UHF Camera Wireless System can be used at a time since the receiver has one channel.

Q: 10. What’s the difference between the Alesis Concert and the Alesis Recital?

A: The biggest differences between the two are that the Recital Pro has actual hammer action versus semi-weighted action of the Concert, and 30 watt speaker output on the Recital Pro versus 20 watt output from the Concert.

[24 MHz] I bought this to replace an older system that often had interference.  I used this last week. It was great. The sound was crisp and clear.  No problem with outside interference.

[24 MHz] This a great set of microphones from a well known company. Only decent set I could find that had a mix out so that I use single channel on my board. Amazing quality, no drop outs and plenty of channel options to choose from. Best both in price and quality.

[24 MHz] I bought this for use in my local synagogue for speeches/lectures. We were having an issue with the previous mic we had that used bluetooth connection, but this is no longer an issue. This product works great, was easy and quick to set up and we now have no issues with interference! Highly recommend this product!

[True Diversity] This was used with a Samson Expedition XP800 amp/mixer/speakers system for an all day event with about 100 people under a large tent. The system was easy to set up and connect with the XP800. The microphones worked very well. For the small microphone, you have the choice of clipping a lapel clip to it or a headset/boom. We used the lapel clip. Be sure to clip it near the center of the body for best pickup. Our first user clipped it a bit to the side, and every time he turned his head the other way, his voice trailed off. With it clipped to a shirt under the chin,, the pickup was remarkable and clear. The instructions state that the mics need AA alkaline batteries and they will last about 8 hours, and don't use rechargeable batteries. These mics were used a lot and did die after about 8 hours. Next time I would use Energizer Lithium batteries for a very long event.
A couple of times the microphone popped off of the lapel clip when the speaker had muted their mic and was working with their hands and not paying attention. It clips back on easily.
