$597.00 $919.38

Balancing value and strong audio performance, the Audio-Technica AT2035PK Microphone Pack with ATH-M20x Headphonescondenser microphone offers a smooth and detailed sound at a price point that's accessible for home-based musicians, vocalists, and podcasters. The large-diaphragm condenser capsule incorporates a cardioid polar pattern for minimal feedback and off-axis noise, a welcome trait when tracking in untreated rooms. Plus, the supplied custom shockmount helps keep extraneous handling and foot noise down.

Engage the -10 dB pad to increase headroom and capture incredibly loud sources up to 158 dB SPL without distortion. When low-frequency rumble/hum or overwhelming bass invade your signal, turn on the 80 Hz high-pass filter switch to attenuate the lows without resorting to EQ. Since the AT2035 is a solid-state condenser with an XLR output, it should be mated to an XLR-equipped mic preamp capable of sending 48V phantom power, or anything between 11 to 52 VDC.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I need just the microphone boom for this kit. How can i purchase two seprately?

A: While we do not sell that specific broadcast arm separately, here is a similar alternative BH #ONMBS5000.

Q: 2. I had my company buy three of these mic sets and for some reason the audio volume dips during recordings. WE connected everything fine and plug it into Rodecaster pro but each time we do a podcast the volume dips and comes back up on a few seconds. Distance between speaker and mic has not changed, Could you say what could be the cause?

A: If you are using the RodeCaster Pro Integrated Podcast Production Studio, then the Audio-Technica AT2020 Cardioid Condenser Microphones should be connected directly to the XLR mic inputs on the RodeCaster Pro with phantom power turned on. It sounds like you may have the compressor and/or master compressor effects turned on and possibly set too high. The compressor is used to smooth and balance the dynamic range in your audio so your voice is clear, punchy, and intelligible. It can even out the audio so the softest parts of your speech can be heard and the loudest parts of your speech will not be overpowering or distorted. The master compressor affects the entire output of your podcast, so if the problem occurs with all of the mics, that may be what is causing the issue. Check the settings on both the regular and master compressor effects and adjust them as needed. Here are links to Rode's online user guide which provides useful information and tutorial videos showing how to use the built-in effects and processors included with the RodeCaster Pro: https://rode.com/en/user-guides/rodecaster-pro/using-advanced-processing-and-effects https://rode.com/en/user-guides/rodecaster-pro/setting-up-microphone-channels

Q: 3. Is it side address or top?

A: Designed for critical home/project/professional studio applications and live performance, this side-address cardioid studio condenser delivers exceptional detail and low noise. Equipped with a switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter and 10 dB pad, the AT2035 handles high sound pressure levels with ease. Along with its rugged construction and high-performance specifications, the AT2035 provides an exceptional level of consistency from model to model. It comes equipped with a protective pouch and a custom shock mount.

Q: 4. Does this come with a USB cable so i can record to my computer?

A: The Tascam US-600 audio interface included in this kit will ship with a USB cable that will enable you to connect the unit to your computer.

Q: 5. Is it a mic only? if not what else comes with it?

A: In the Box: Audio-Technica AT2020 Cardioid Condenser Microphone Stand Mount for 5/8"- 27 Threaded Stands 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 Threaded Adapter Protective Pouch Limited 1-Year Warranty Not in the Box Essential XLR Cables (Not Included)

Q: 6. Does this include the ATH-M20 Headphones?

A: No, the headline description of the kit is wrong, but the product list farther down is right. It ships with Polsen headphones. They're listed on the current set up as Polsen HPC-A30 Closed-Back Studio Monitor Headphones.

Q: 7. How do you attach the mic mount to the mic stand? the "male" end on the stand is too big for the "female" end on the mic mount

A: Please make sure to remove the 5/8" to 3?8" adapter from your mic mount and it should then work just fine. The included adapter allows you to mount it on other stands such as light stands.

Q: 8. Will this microphone work with Adobe Premiere Elements 12 for Mac?

A: I don't own a Mac.

Q: 9. Can I use this system for a phone interview by running a phone line into the mixer?

A: I have not tried this yet, but I can see the potential that this can be done. It is pretty versitile

Q: 10. Before I place my order, can you tell me what additional accessories will I need to get started (aside from the computer)? Cables? Shock mount? Thanks!

A: The Audio-Technica Voice Actor Starter Kit ships with everything necessary to get started recording. The AT2035 mic ships with shockmount, and XLR cable for connection of mic to the interface is included as well.

[Phantom Power] AT2035 mics are used to record performances of professional, and serious amateur instrumental and choral musical groups. Music recorded is typically classical. Condenser microphones do this very well and the AT2035 mics perform completely to my expectations, good directionality, sensitivity and frequency response. I made the purchase decision based on spec sheet performance and recording results bear them out. Only thing I don't like is the shock absorbing mount included with the mic. While its elastic is quite substantial, if it breaks for some reason, there is no other way to mount these mics. Replacement mount from Audio Technica is pretty pricy. Oh, one other thing. The mic is a cardiod directional and there's no indication on the mic itself or in the literature, which side is the front to be pointed at the music source, and which is the back. I guessed that the logo side is the front, and the side with the switches is the back. Subsequent testing proved that to be the correct guess. It would be nice if the mics themselves could be so marked by AT.

[Black] Bought it and using it as an alternative large diaphragm condenser microphone for vocal and acoustic recording. Definitely a difference in character of sound and quality as compared to staple SM 58 Shure. Good with details and such. One slight gripe may be the limited peaking capacity. the -10dB pad is there but I personally don't believe that I should be using it most of the time. Loud recording applications may feel some limitations, however its value to performance ratio is a definite plus. Good well rounded function and use so far! If you're using it in the home studio make sure you have some isolation proofing done b/c it will pick up the echos. (and also thin window pane means you'll get car traffic noise picked up in this thing - very sensitive!)

[Black] Best mic for the price, in my opinion. Use it for conversations/OBS on a rode PSA1 Arm, and as a backup mic for my neumann TLM 103.
Shockingly, if you EQ it, it can get pretty close to the neumann TLM 103.

[Solid-State] I hooked this up to my ART USB Dual Pro and hooked that straight into garageband to record. The different settings allow me to record in my college apartment without picking up all the noise from cars or roommates.

[Phantom Power] Much better than most mid-priced and all lower-priced microphones. Quality and no issues.

[Cardioid] It's basically an upgraded at2020, and very much worth the money for the mic. It sounds just as good if not better then more expensive options, within reasonable expectations. It's not going to compete with an vintage mic, nor is it going to compete with a much more expensive mic with a specific sound signature. But for a flat, basic microphone, it is one of the best within it's price range. It picks up vocals where it is supposed to and drastically reduces sound from things like speakers positioned behind it. It is probably the best microphone you can get for video calls, streaming, and other activities where sound cancelation is important. Paired with a basic XLR interface with phantom power and it is the most clear you can get for your coworkers or friends for a very reasonable price. As someone that does work remote and as someone that hangs out with friends having a good mic is very important. My at2020 usb started having issues so it was only a natural progression to get the next tier up and an inherently better usb interface for it. I love this mic and your coworkers will thank you, if they are anything like me.
