Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Will this be good enough fro a professional recording studio ? Or will I get a much better sound from a Focusrite top priced? Or will it not be notifyable ?
A: I would say the QU-32C is good enough to operate in a professional recording studio, absolutely. The QU-32C is is capable of 32x32 channel recording/playback at 24-Bit and a 48kHz sample rate over USB-B to a computer. Beyond that, the AnalogiQ digitally controlled preamps offer excellent transparency, minimal distortion, and an incredibly low noise floor, with a warm, musical sound that some digital consoles lack. In comparison to high end Focusrite products, a Focusrite interface could offer a high sample rate (upwards of 192kHz) as well as a different selection of preamps, which could potentially be noticeable depending on your acoustic environment and the speakers you're monitoring through. But a Focusrite interface will lack the hands-on control that a console like the QU-32C can offer. Both are more than capable of operating in a professional studio environment as far as audio quality goes. Deciding between the 2 really depends on your workflow. If like hands-on control, then the QU-32C may be the option for you. But if you need to record at sample rates beyond 48kHz, a Focusrite interface may be the better option.
Q: 2. Can these speakers be run directly off of a PC? If so, how do you connect them as the pictures show connections I have not used before.
A: The CMS 50 is a professional studio monitoring speaker and thus has connections typically found only in professional equipment. To integrate it with a computer, which would normally feature a 3.5mm stereo output, you would need a special cable (KOSMYCM2XM03) along with two extension cables (KOM4003, KOM4006) possibly 3-6 feet; your choice. But to maximize performance, I would advise you to invest in nice USB audio converter like the RME ADI-2 Pro, as it will heighten your listening experience by providing a pristine audio signal not available in standard run of the mill computer audio cards.
Q: 3. can you add waves plugins ?
A: This system is Core Audio compliant. You may load WAVES plug-ins into your Mac for use with your current compatible DAW.
Q: 4. I want to use this with ProTools 11 is there a usb or a slot to put a converter in?
A: The Qu-32 features a built in interface and can be used with Pro Tools using the rear panel USB connection. The interface is class-compliant on Mac OS X and drivers are available for Windows systems.
Q: 5. What phones will the online remote work on?
A: The in-line remote will work with Apple and android phones. You will be able to answer and end calls. Other functions will vary, with no specific rule.
Q: 6. Will this work with a Canon 70D and Sigma lenses?
A: I believe so yes.
Q: 7. Will this work with amazon music?
A: You can use Amazon Music via Apple Airplay if you are using an iOS device. If you are using an Android device, that would not be possible. According to the Naim Audio site, Amazon Music HD is currently on their development wishlist for this compatibility but it is not yet so. https://community.naimaudio.com/t/will-a-mu-so-2-work-for-me/16316
Q: 8. Is there a workbook that goes with this book ?
A: We do not have a workbook that would go along side the book.
Q: 9. Are these monitors eligable for educational pricing (K-12 school; I am already registered with B&H as an educator)
A: For school district purchases, please contact us at biddept@a href= http://bhphoto.com target= _blank bhphoto.com./a
Q: 10. what do you have for this package ?
A: Recommended accessories are listed on this console's webpage. For specific product recommendations, please e-mail us at: ProAudio@a href= http://BandH.com target= _blank BandH.com/a
