The black DPA 6061 CORE is a subminiature, moisture-resistant lavalier microphone designed for use with wireless systems for broadcast, performance, and theatrical applications. The low-sensitivity electret-condenser capsule can handle even very loud performers to deliver crisp, clear, and intelligible speech. The mic's 3mm size is easy to hide in clothing or costumes, making it well suited to the demands of professional presentations, theater, and live stage work as well as TV, film, and video productions.

The 6061 shrinks DPA's CORE technology down to a 60% smaller size that still delivers extended dynamic range and extremely low self noise for outstanding sound quality. An included capsule protection grid protects the mic element and supplies a subtle 4 dB soft boost between 8 to 20 kHz, lightly enhancing signal presence to ensure clarity. The cap can be removed for cleaning and attaches to the mic with a firm click that can be felt and heard.

With an SPL rating of 144 dB, the microphone is more than capable of handling even very loud vocalists, presenters, and speakers. The 6061 CORE is powered by 5 to 10V plug-in power from a wireless transmitter and features a modular design using a Microdot output connector. This version includes a locking 3.5mm adapter for use with wireless transmitters and recorders wired for Sennheiser compatibility.

  • Sennheiser: Works with Sennheiser transmitters equipped with a locking 3.5mm connector, including the Evolution (ew), XSW-D, and SpeechLine (SL) Series.
  • The modular design allows you to adapt the 6061's Microdot connector to a wide variety of transmitters simply by purchasing the compatible adapter—saving you the expense of buying another microphone.

The DAD6001 Microdot to 3-pin XLR Adapter (available separately) allows you to power the 6061 from 12 or 48V phantom power for wired applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this work on a Zoom F2?

A: Yes, the Deity W.Lav Pro Lavalier Microphone can be connected to a Zoom F2 Field Recorder using a Microdot to locking 3.5mm TRS adapter wired for compatibility with Sennheiser wireless transmitters (not Sony, as the internal wiring is different) such as the Deity Microphones DA35 Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter - Black (B&H # DEDA3S) or the DPA Microphones DAD6034 Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Sennheiser Adapter (B&H # DPDAD6034).

Q: 2. Why does Deity's own website state Max SPL is 110dB yet the BH site states SPL is 130dB? Is this a mistake?

A: According to Deity, some microdot connectors allow for higher SPL ratings for the Deity Microphones W.Lav Pro Omni Lavalier Microphone (Black).

Q: 3. Has anyone used it with the new RODE Wireless Go system? I am wondering if it would work and if there would be any loss in the quality of the sound compared with the Sennheiser systems...

A: You can use a COS11-D with the Rode Wireless Go system, but you will need a version of the mic with a standard non-locking 3.5mm TRS connector, as the transmitter for the Wireless Go does not use the same locking connector that Sennheiser and the other Rode wireless systems such as the Filmmaker Kit require. The Wireless Go is designed with standard 3.5mm connectors on the transmitter's mic input and receiver output, and intended to be very easy to use for general consumers.

Q: 4. Are there tie clip alternatives that secure to the actual lavalier instead of the cable for the lavalier?

A: We do carry some universal lavalier tie clips which should work with this microphone, such as BH #AUAT8417.

Q: 5. Will it work with Zoom F1 Field Recorder?

A: Yes

Q: 6. This article includes the Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Sennheiser/trs Adapter? Thanks Renzo.

A: No, the Deity Microphones W.Lav Pro Omni Lavalier Microphone does not come with the Deity Microphones DA35 Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter for Sennheiser transmitters; however, the adapter is included with the Deity Microphones W.Lav DA35 Bundle Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter (B&H # DEWLAVD35).

Q: 7. I have Roland R05 recorder. Will this work with it?

A: The Sanken COS 11D-R is designed specifically to operate and connect to wireless audio systems transmitters. There is currently no version available that will function with a digital voice recorder.

Q: 8. Will this work with the Rode Wireless Pro? Thanks!

A: You can use BH #DEDA35 with the Deity W.Lav Pro to connect it to the Rode Wireless Pro. The transmitter in the Rode Wireless Pro will provide up to 3.3V of plug-in power.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with UM200c transmitter?

A: This is not the appropriate model. The appropriate version of the COS-11D for your UM series transmitter is the Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Mic, Normal Sens, Hardwired TA5F Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitter (with Accessories, Black), BH #SAC11WNLUNB. When orderigf for a specific Lectrosonics system, please call 800.6060.6969 and one of our Pro Audio staff will assure that you choose the correctly wired version.

Q: 10. can we use the this Sanken COS 11 D, hardwired TA5F element to SMQV and SMV?

A: Yes, this is wired to work with Lectrosonics SMV and SMQV transmitters.

[0.115 lb] I owned DPA 4099, AMT and many other mic. But this is the best sounding, so light that you don't even feel that there is a mic attached to your instrument. Strongly recommend it!
