In movies they always show the scout sitting in the stands shooting a gun at a ball moving from mound to catcher...not the case with this. You must either be behind pitcher or catcher (backstop OK). I've used mine for years coaching Little League teams. It works very well for establishing benchmarks to which the kids can gauge their improvement, or scouting opposition.
