One Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element and three F Low Dispersion (FLD) elements are featured in the optical design and help to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations for improved clarity and color accuracy, as well as spherical aberrations for reduced distortion and improved sharpness throughout the zoom range.

A Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to lens elements in order to minimize lens flare and ghosting and contribute to producing contrast-rich and color-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions.

Front and rear lens elements have been treated with a water- and oil-repellent coating to benefit working in harsh environmental conditions.

Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.

The integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) realizes quick and quiet autofocusing, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also permits full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring at any time.

An Intelligent Optical Stabilizer system minimizes the appearance of camera shake by up to four stops to benefit making sharper imagery when shooting handheld.

The lens is constructed using a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material, along with traditional metals, for greater precision and use in wide temperature variations.

The bayonet mount is constructed from brass for ensured accuracy and durability. Additionally, rubber sealing is incorporated in the mount design to render it dust- and splash-resistant.

Tripod collar has a rotating design and the replaceable foot is Arca-type compatible for easy mounting.

This lens is compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock for fine-tuning different lens characteristics and updating its firmware.

[f/22 to 32] This is heavy, but I've already taken some great shots of my son while wrestling and now we can't wait for racing season to start up and get some awesome action on the track as well!

[9, Rounded] It's a lens that stays in focus as the magnification is changed. Some might be close but close might ruin a video shoot.
NO! The new 150-600mm Sport is not PARFOCAL it's only $1499.

[0.3x] I have only had time to play with this - but pictures are very clear. Great for those shots that you are too far to get a close up of. I have taken a few great shots of eagles flying near our cabin.

[Autofocus] I am fairly new to photography. My love of nature takes me to the woods and lake every weekend. I found my 300mm lense just couldn't get me close enough to the wildlife. I struggled with spending $2,000. 00 on a larger lense. I researched this Sigma 60-600 Sport for months and B & H customer service was there to help me with my questions. I purchased this lense and am extremely pleased with it. The reviews and advice was spot on! I am getting photos now I could never have gotten with my 300. There's definitely a learning curve for me with such a large lense and the weight is substantial w/o a tripod, which will be my next purchase from B & H. I am learning new things about my Sigma 60-600 Sport every day and can honestly say I don't regret this purchase. I would definitely recommend this lense for outdoor enthusiasts who want to get close to the action, whether it is photographing wildlife or sports. Go for it because life is too short!

[105 mm (Front)] I bought this lens for its focal length, not realizing how amazing it was until I had it in my hot little hands.

It performs beautifully all along its focal capacity, only growing a little 'soft' when pulled all the way out to 600. I solve that a couple of ways: first, if possible, stop the camera down to about F16. That improves crispness. Second, if light conditions don't allow for that, pull the lens in to 500, shoot at the highest quality, then crop to bring the shot in. In all honesty, the softness is pretty negligible.

The anti-shake functions on the lens are wonderful. They allow me to shoot much more off-hand than I anticipated.

One thing to be prepared for is the weight. This beast is over five pounds. By the time you attach a camera and an extended battery pack, you're looking at substantial weight. The lens itself comes equipped with a carry strap that's a big help and takes any stress off the attachment threads on the camera body.

Because of the weight, I bought a new monopod with a much higher weight capacity.

[f/22 to 32] I have been using this lens for a year. I took it to Kamchatka 2 times, Brazil (Pantanal) and so on. I am really sure it is the best lens with a brilliant price. More useful than 150-600. The short side of 60mm is very helpful when the object is too close to you. I used 60-600 in different temperature 35-40C in Brazil and -35C in Mountain Altay. Need a proof? Look at my attached pictures. A picture is worth a thousand words)

[0.3x] I have used this on only one birding shoot so far. To say this lens is amazing would be an understatement. The photos are tack sharp and are as good or maybe better than my Canon 500mm prime! I highly recommend this lens!

[Nikon F] I use this lens with my Canon 6D MkII for taking wildlife photos, mostly birds. The quick autofocus and the push-pull zoom makes it easy and fast to use when chasing birds in flight.
