The 1 x 2' Westcott Flex Cine Dimmer Adapter for Daylight Mat (1x2')from Westcott Flex Cine Dimmer Adapter for Daylight Mat (1x2')allows you to pair the Westcott 1 x 2' Flex Daylight LED Mat with the Westcott Flex Cine Dimmer. Integrated mat sensing technology communicates the correct size and style of the 1 x 2' mat to the dimmer so that the right amount of power is delivered to the mat. The sensing technology also determines which menu items should be displayed on the dimmer's display screen. The adapter features a heavy-duty 9-pin locking connector on one end and a locking 6-pin connector on the other for a secure connection.

Q: 1. Can one person hold this 6x6 scrim?

A: One person can handhold this scrim indoors. Outside on location it can turn into a kite very quickly so even if its just breezy it'd be difficult for one person to handle.

A: Yes it does. It is titled Westcott Flex D-Tap Cable and is designed to connect the flexlight via D-Tap on batteries and distribution boxes.

Q: 3. I have two Flex light Cine Kits... One 1x1 and one 1x2. I have two D-Tap connectors (one for each). NEITHER cable works on either light. There's power to the 1x2 control unit, but will not light the light. There's no power to the 1x1 control unit. Ideas?? Thank you!

A: For color temperature of LEDs you would need the Sekonic C-700R Spectromaster or a spectrometer specifically designed to accurately read LED light. Other versions and older color meters simply are not designed to accurately measure the light output of LEDs. In addition, While the actual readout from a Flex LED may be different than the what your brand and model of camera records as a specific temperature, once set, your Flex will maintain the same color temperature each time you set it with the same readout. Your output range may be related to the D-tap question where you appear to be attempting to use powering options and connectors not specifically designed for use with your Flex. Please contact Westcott Customer Service if you experience issues beyond what I addressed as we stand behind our products and their performance.

Q: 4. Will this unit also ship with an Anton Bauer Gold Mount version?

A: No it will not.

Q: 5. Will these fit the Genaray Square 1x1?

A: These grids are specific to the Flex 1x1'.

Q: 6. Will this dimmer work with IDX or other V-Mount batteries?

A: You can use IDX V mount batteries as well as other manufacture V mount batteries.

Q: 7. It says in the description that it is a full stop but the review says 1/4 stop diffusion. Which is it?

A: Westcott lists that the Westcott Flex Cine Softbox 1 x 1' comes with a one stop front diffuser.

Q: 8. Can I use this adapter with a 1x2 flex mat

A: Unfortunately, no. The 1x2 has higher power requirements than the 1x1 so this cable will not work. Westcott say they are developing a mobile power solution for the 1x2, but I haven't seen any notice that they've released it. You can call Westcott support to inquire.

Q: 9. Can I use the Anton Bauer Cine battery to power the Flex 10 x 10 with this cable?

A: From our in-house engineer: Yes, as long as the output is between 13v and 29v it can power your 10 x 10 flex.

Q: 10. Westcott Flex D-Tap Cable- is that a stackable d-tap connector so I can connect 2 Flex LED lights to a single battery?

[0.095 lb] These lights are absolutely fantastic. The quality of the light is unparalleled. I use them primarily for headshots. I have even travelled (locally) with them to client sites and they did not disappoint. It's a great investment. 5

[1x TE 9-Pin] I got this frame YEARS ago, use it with a 1/2 stop diffuser, works great, very durable, has endured hours and hours of rugged use, totally improves quality of my work, but.... For years I fumbled with how to mount it to a C-stand. I improvised many different ways, often muttering 4-letter words as I came up with sub-par results every time. If I was lucky enough to have a PA with me, all was good, if it wasn't too windy. But still I was left scratching my head as to how to mount it up on a C-stand or the likes. Well, recently I FINALLY discovered the Westcott Scrim Jim Cine Clamp with 5/8 Stud BH# WESJCC58S - This is the GAMECHANGER!! This specialized clamp coupled with a solid grip head makes ALL the difference, seriously! The clamp is SO solid and you can position the frame/diffuser in so many different ways. And with a couple sandbags, the whole set up can even handle a little bit of wind. So, bottom-line, if you get this frame and you'd like to mount it on a C-stand, GET THE WESCOTT SCRIM JIM CINE CLAMP, it's worth every penny and then some. I should have just called up B&H years ago for a little guidance, wish I had found this sooner. The clamp is not listed as one of the B&H recommended accessories for the frame - Yet, it SHOULD be the #1 recommended accessory (pretty much an essential). I hope this helps anyone out there shopping for this frame (or anyone that already owns one) as it would have helped me a ton to have known about this long ago. 5

[0.095 lb] This is a solid piece of metal and works perfectly to adjust the Westcott flex 1'x2' or any 2' mat perfectly. Came wrapped up nice and have zero issues with it. It does have to sets of holes for you to mount the flex light in, one towards the middle and one towards the end. 5
