Tiffen 62mm Circular Polarizer Filters - Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.

If you're out walking on a lovely day - in the mountains or at the beach - and you want to get a fabulous shot of a cloud-filled sky or make the water seem more saturated, then a polarizer is the way to go. This filter is the best way to make the clouds stand out, increase or decrease the saturation of the ocean or increase or decrease the reflection off the water. You can also use this filter when shooting into glass or windows since it will, again, either increase or decrease reflections.

If you're shooting black and white and want to simulate a threatening storm, try throwing on a #25 Red filter. The vista will take on the appearance of an imminent, ominous storm.

Along with a UV or Skylight Filter, a polarizing filter should be a part of everyone's gear bag. It can turn a run-of-the-mill image into a stunning, creative photo by increasing color saturation.

Q: 4. Can I combine this 77mm to Cokin Z series Holder?? Or how can I combine this stuff . I have Fuji XT3 with kit lens 18- 55mm (58o) . I bought step up ring 58 - 77mm to attach Cokin Z series Holder. Which polarizer should I get or how to attach this with IT??

A: I use a UV filter as a general practice filtering and protection of my lens Canon 24-105 77 mm which is a very expensive lens. Then I use a 77mm Tiffen circular on top of it which works well for bright reflections or water photography.Hope this helps.Bob D

Q: 9. I'm very new to photography, will this fit on the fuji 18-55mm lens?

A: I use pentax and for me that would be a 52mm filter. I would ask the staff at B&H they are very good about answering questions

Q: 10. Dose this filter fit Panasonic lumix 42.5mm?

A: The answer I gave was for the 42.5mm f1.2 lens. I'm guessing now you have the f/1.7, and yes the 37mm filter is correct.

[Aluminum] I used this with my D3400 and the 18-55mm AF P lens, on a recent trip to the Grand Canyon. The images were fantastic, partly or mostly because of this filter. Can't wait to print these photos!

[Glass] Needed a polarizer really quickly for some video work for a car dealership. Saw some mixed reviews on this one, so I wasn't sure what I'd get. I was very pleasantly surprised! It noticeably cuts down on glare and reduces reflections in paint. That said, I found myself making compromises and choices when shooting entire vehicles, i.e., I couldn't cut glare on windows toward the rear of a car and on the front badging at the same time for instance. I assume that's just down to my inexperience and my need to shoot close and wide for the video work I was doing. I can imagine it performing even better for stills with a longer focal length and more compression. I imagine there are more effective polarizing filters when you're ready to spend hundreds, but for around $30, this one does the job and does it well. If you're like me, wondering if it would perform as advertised, rest assured that It does. B&H next day shipping got it to me with time to spare, and I'm 1,000 miles away from New York. No complaints.

[Aluminum] I use this on my 45p and a Canon lens... it works great. I used a cheaper CPL and autofocus on both the Canon and Hasselblad were off... Not with this one.
