Get a matte box, lens control motor, lens support, or other lens accessory on your gimbal rig with help from the CineMilled 15mm Rod Support for Ronin MōVI Dovetailsfrom CineMilled. Designed for use with 15mm standard rods, this dual-rod clamp uses the industry-standard LWS 60mm center-to-center spacing to ensure compatibility with a wide range of accessories. The rod support can be used with DJI Ronin and MōVI dovetails, as well as with any CineMilled PRO Ronin and MōVI dovetails. M4 and M3 mounting screws are included in the package.

With its low-profile design, the rod support does not protrude above the dovetail surface. This means that even if the bottom of the camera you are mounting is big enough to hang off the end of the dovetail, it will not create any clearance issues. Moreover, the rod support offsets the separately available rods lower than your dovetail, giving you more room to mount lens motors on lenses with large-diameter barrels.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this fit in the Canon LH-E1 lens support (#CALHE1) if I remove the Y support part?

A: Yes, the Tilta 15mm LWS Rod Lens Support would fit in the bottom of the Canon LH-E1 Lens Holder after removing the Y lens adapter and using the included 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 adapter.

Q: 2. Special order

A: At the time of this posting, February 5th 2018, this part is in stock. It is not a Special Order Product.

Q: 3. Will this work with the Tilta Arri Standard Dovetail and baseplate? The rails sit wider than say the Zacuto universal baseplate.

A: Hello,The LS-T05 is made for standard 15mm rod systems. If I understand the baseplate you are referencing correctly, that is a 19mm system and is incompatible with the LS-T05 or LS-T05-A, depending on your lens.

Q: 4. does this weight have a 1/4 screw?

A: No, it is 3/8 on top and bottom

Q: 5. I have zacuto recoil rig, V1 for my Sony fs5. Will this work suitable for my Nikon 70-200mm? Or is there another suitable lens support system that can screw into the foot of the lens?

A: It will work. You can always use the cradle. My issue is the shaft that goes vertically through the bridge is too long. If that is not an issue for you then this is a good deal.

Q: 6. What weight is this counter weight?

A: According to CineMilled's website, these are 11.5 oz/326 gm.

Q: 7. I bought this but it's too short to reach some of my lenses. One reviewer mentioned they bought a riser for it - can you let me know what you bought? Thanks!

A: Hello David, what kind of lenses do you use on which camera? I'am using the support for the Canon L 100-400mm lens on my C300MKII and it fits perfect. The support which I bought at B&H came with a riser but I never heard of an extra one, sorry.

Q: 8. Do you think it will fit OConnor O-Rig Pro Kit B&H # OCORCS MFR # C1257-0001?

A: It works for my Nikon 24-70 and Sigma Art 24-35 lens, and keeps them from bouncing around. For a shoulder rig I like things tightened up and this works.

Q: 9. Does it work with a Canon 17-120 servo lens? Using it with a Sony FX9

A: The Tilta 15mm LWS Rod Lens Support is a Universal lens support solution that would work with any lens. Just add a baseplate with 15mm rods to use the Lens support with any camera model.

Q: 10. I will be shooting an A7s 2 as well as the 28-135 zoom lens - will I need this accessory for my cage???

A: I would recommend getting this. It is a great support for the lens. It works as advertised.

[0.145 lb] I own two of these lens support items. Amazing quality, sturdy. Highly recommended.

[0.145 lb] You'll need to pair this with the Cinemilled dovetail plate. I definitely recommend grabbing a couple of these if your camera is back heavy or if you intend to use a shorter (physically shorter, not focal length) lens. These weights simply screw into the dovetail plate and give you some added counterweight where you need it. Much nicer than that previous method of gaffe taping quarters to the camera, right???

[0.145 lb] I upgraded to this because on my Smallrig one, the column was so long that I frequently couldn't set the camera flat when it was attached. This one fixed that for me and feels a lot more substantial as well.

My only issue is the 1/4 20 adapter. It tends to get stuck to the lens instead of staying on the support. Not a big deal, but it also is perfectly cylindrical, with no flat edges, so it's difficult to remove. I usually have to wrap a rubber band around it to get a grip on it.

[0.145 lb] Why didn't I find this sooner?! Stops by rig rotating when using a large lens. Perfect!!

[0.145 lb] I like that it's adjustable horizontally as well as vertically. Being able to switch between a support with rollers or a hard screw-mount is a big plus.

[0.145 lb] Tilts just builds rugged stuff. I may be a bit heavier then something like the Zacuto version but very well designed when you just need that 1/8 inch leeway to seat it in the lens support threads. I got so tired of rental houses forgetting the proper thread adapters, I just bought my own.
