A versatile and portable dual-sided light modifier for controlling and directing light, this Photoflex LiteDisc Oval Reflector 41x74"from Photoflex LiteDisc Oval Reflector 41x74"has a 41 x 74" oval shape, and collapses down to 22" in diameter. Its elongated oval shape is ideal when working with tall objects and full-length portraits, where longer and slimmer reflections are needed. The front side is a metallic solid silver color that produces a hard light quality with increased contrast and specular highlights. The reverse side is neutral white and offers a softer quality of light with maintained color balance. The fabric is double-laminated for high reflectance and durability, and uses a double-riveted steel spring frame to ensure a consistent shape over time, while maintaining a flat profile when expanded. Additionally, a dedicated carry bag is included for storage and travel.

A: This diffuser cuts 1 stop of light. Firing an Alienbees B800 at full power into a 46 inch softlighter, I get a reading of f/11 at 8 feet (ISO 200). With the LiteDisc Diffuser in place the reading is f/8 at 8 feet (ISO 200). I hope that helps!

A: Yes the stand mount on this arm is made of aluminum.

A: This folds up to about a 22" circle.

A: The two sizes are the different rod sizes of the LiteDisc Holder Compact. These are replacement parts.

A: Same answer as Sean W. - Silver and white - Then flip around the cover and it is gold and black. The inside is a scrim

A: This disc would reduce the light by 1 full stop.

A: This model of reflector only has a silver and white side for reflection. You may be thinking of the Photoflex MultiDisc Circular Reflector, 5 Surfaces, 32 , which has a removable reflector cover to expose a translucent disc. A: Approximately 2 stops

Q: 10. I just received my impact 5 in 1 reflector, I feel like it is too tight to get the gold/silver color cover on to the translucent reflector. I had to squeeze the ring holding the translucent reflector, to get the zip closed. Is this normal? Please suggest.

A: It's a little tight but you want the fabric tight so it acts like a foamboard flat.

[Oval] I use this refector in my home studio for portraits. Due to its size, it can be used for full-length portrait shots. I haven't used it on location, but it folds down into a small size, is really lightweight and is portable. 5

[Oval] I use this for shoots out in bright/harsh daylight to diffuse the sun. It works like a charm. It is hard for my asssitant to hold when it's breezy outside, but that so far is my only complaint. 5

[2.15 lb] I desperately needed to light up faces while doing videos outside with sunlight coming from behind the subject. I recently did a low-budget film that was hampered by this problem. This reflector fixes that problem and it's wide enough to light up two or three people. Practice folding it in private so that you won't look like an idiot. Just put it in the corner of your work space and try to practice folding it once a day for a week. Fold it the same way each time (ex. Gold side to the inside) and you will find that the metal hoop develops a memory. 5
