Q: 4. I recently received 2 lighting kits. Is it use the supplied charger/ac adapter to power the light with ac while the batteries are still attached to the light? Thanks.

A: The AC adapter would be plugged in directly to the panel for power through an AC outlet, but it cannot charge the batteries at the same time.

Q: 5. What's the weight of the light with batteries when you're holding it? Thanks!

A: The weight of the FotodioX Pro FlapJack LED Wand C-308AS Bi-Color Edge Light is 6.94 lbs, while the weight of the NP-F740 batteries together would be approximately 0.9 lbs. As such, the weight of the FotodioX Pro FlapJack LED Wand with the batteries would be approximately 7.94 lbs.

Q: 6. Is there an AC Adapter available? 3 Hours is too short for a full shoot day to run on batteries.

A: The kit comes with an AC adapter for the lights so you can plug it in to a wall outlet.

Q: 7. This kit came with the equivalent of Sony np-f550 batteries, and the charger says that is what it is made to charge. Will the charger that came with the kit charge different batteries, like the np-f975 and can other batteries be used to power the light? Thanks.

A: Yes it charges similar batteries.

Q: 8. Does this reflector accept standard 7" honey comb grids?

A: You should be able to use a 7" grid of choice.

Q: 9. How long does it take to charge the battery?

A: Unfortunately, FotodioX states that they do not have an estimate on the amount of time it takes to fully charge the two (2) 2200mAH NP-F550 7.4V batteries included in the kit. The only battery information they have is a full charge will provide approximately one (1) hour of power when the light fixture is set at full output, but the battery charge time is not indicated. From an estimate of batteries of similar size, I would estimate it may take approximately 4 hours to charge the battery.

Q: 10. Is this light really compatible with the profoto speed rings?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro PopSpot High Intensity Ultra 50 Bi-Color LED Light Kit is designed and made to accept profoto rings and light shaping tools.

[3200 to 5600K] Not sure why someone else's wasn't quiet, but mine sounds about as quiet as any fan could possibly be. I might go for the 100watt instead, but this seems like a great kit. Can't beat the ac/dc option w/2 batteries included.... plus I got a killer deal :-) 5

[50 W (Maximum)] Good quality. Fits my Profoto D2's well. I have some 7' grids I wanted to fit on this, They sit an inch or so inside the reflector but they stay put so am happy. Glad I purchased. Haven't used with modelling light on so can't comment on whether they well hold too much heat or not. 5
