A: In most cases 17 inches is enough, 3 feet is usually too much, and some companies offer 2 foot cables for people that need something in the middle. ultimately you will need to do some measurements on your gimbal and or rig to determine which length works best for you. If the cable is longer than what you need many people rely on cable ties to not only keep their rig organized but relieve cable strain.
