Q: 1. can I balance an 80D with an 18-135 lens on an 8 inch monopod?

A: The lens weight would most likely tiltThe tripod

Q: 2. What is the diameter of the mount?

A: 50mm, just under 2 inches. Longer than most camera baseplates. Cork topped to help hold camera steadier

Q: 3. How long are the silver legs? What is the diameter of the shaft? Can the top, where the tighten bolt (under ball) be removed?

A: The silver legs are approximately 3 and 3/4 inches when they are in position on the desk the diameter of the Shaft is approximately just around 7/8 of an inch the whole top section is removable as one piece from the shaft.

Q: 4. Looking for tripod to take on my kayak and to do macro -I have mono pod w Oben quick release plate -can I use it on this as well ?

A: Hi, Pretty courageous move to take your camera on a kayak, hats off to you. I purchased the Oben TT-200 to use with a Leica D LUX 6, the ballhead provided with the TT 200 mounts to any camera body that supports the 1/4 screw mount. Your Oben quick release plate will not adapt to the TT 200 ballhead. However, you can remove your monopods bullhead and mount it to the TT 200 pole. Thats the way youll be able to use your quick release feature and plate. Happy Kayaking Thumbs upKind Regards Srecko

Q: 5. At its lowest setting, what is the height of this mic stand to the bottom of the screw mount?

A: While that spec is not specified by the manufacturer, we would estimate about 1''.

Q: 6. Is the material for this product plastic or metal?

A: the legs are plastic. But it is pretty durable, don't think it would break easily.

Q: 7. Can you tell me how long the silver legs are? Can the ballhead, along with the tighten screw housing be removed ? How long is the shaft, from the legs to the tighten screw? What is the diameter of the shaft?

A: When extended, the silver legs are slightly over 3 3/4 from the body each. The bullhead itself cannot be removed, but the top part of the housing unscrews from the tube, as well as the bottom part of the housing that is the leg support. The shaft itself is 1 diameter; the top housing is 1 1/8 ; the bottom housing is 1 1/4 . With the legs extended, the length from the tabletop to the top of the tightening nut that tightens against the camera body is 7 5/8 .

Q: 8. Is the ball head removable, as it is on the TT-100?

A: The ball head on the Oben TT-50 Table Top Tripod is not removable.

Q: 9. When I use a camera D7100 with lens 18-300mm, which weight is about 3lb, Could Oben tripod TT-50 support them?

A: The TT-50 is a small table top tripod. With the ball head in a vertical position it may be OK. If there is any pressure on the ball head, it could creep. A better choice may be the Oben TT-100 which has a removable head. See the link below. If the head cannot handle the specific situation, a more robust head can be attached.

Q: 10. How long is each leg of the tripod?

A: Each leg is 4 3/8 inches long.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I took this on vacation to a theme park. Easy to carry in a small pack. My favorite feature is the velcro strap. Can strap to a hand rail or seat arm and get a great shot in low light, or steady video. Also easy to set on a wall or bench. Seems sturdy. I use with a small (Flip style) video camera and a point and shoot still camera. Probably would support a DSLR. I wouldn't put my GL2 on it.

[Ball Head] The one that I just bought from B+H will be my third one: the first one I gave away to a friend in the Middle East, the second one lasted me for 27 years or so. I've been using it for both SLR's and video and I have it with me whenever I go out to take pictures. The only minor thing I can think about is that you can not replace the ball-head when it is worn-out as happend to me this time, but let's be real, replacing it after 27 years.... no problem.

[Ball Head] I got it to use with my Contour camera. I love the fact that it comes with a velcro strap which make it easy to strap on almost anything, like a backpack strap or trekking pole.

[0.38 lb] I primarily do casual photography, travel, and take pictures for @ listings at times. This tripod is perfect. It is compact, doesn't occupy much space, is incredibly durable, and functions exactly as intended. What I wish would be better is the velcro strap, which can lose its stickiness over time. That can be fixed with a rubber band or small widget used for keeping cords together at a computer desk.Highly recommended.

[0.38 lb] Had one of these for years. Using an SLR (film) camera with zoom lens. Loved it! Used it for backpacking; the lightness is a plus. I then got out of photogrphy and ended up loosing it. In search of a new light weight tri-pod that actually works was leading me into dead ends... until I found it here.

[Ball Head] I use this tripod any time I can to keep the focus of the photos as sharp as possible. It is also great for outdoor landscape/scenery photography because the velcro strap gives it a much more versatile function when there is not a surface available for a tripod. This one is made in the USA, very durable, and is the lightest tripod I've ever held. The weight factor alone makes it outstanding for serious travelers. Also, the mounting joint allows both vertical and horizontal orientation of the camera, at least with a large non-SLR camera. The only drawback I have about this tripod is that I don't always like to carry it around in my pocket, and it may not fit in small camera bags.
