Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Compatible with SmallRig XT-4 cage and Atomos Ninja V combo?

A: Yes, the cage is covered in 1/4 20 mounting points

Q: 2. Are both threads 1/4-20?

A: Yes they are. Both studs are 1/4 -20.

Q: 3. Are these 25mm balls? Would like to use them with a magic arm that uses 25mm.

A: Yes, the Kondor Blue Ball Head with 3/8"-16 ARRI-Style Anti-Twist Screw for Magic Arm (Gray) is 25mm.

Q: 4. Can the shoe adapter be removed so it could be mounted to a tripod?

A: Yes the shoe adapter is removable and there is a 1/4" 20 mounting screw on both ends

Q: 5. Are you sure they are 3/8" screws? I have one in front of me and they are both 1/4" screws. Also from the picture the screws are too small for being 3/8", and the spacing of the locating pins is like the one for the 1/4", not 3/8". I believe your informations might be wrong.

A: The DigitalFoto Solution Limited Magic Arm with ARRI-Style Mounts has a 1/4 20 screw on each end of the arm. See image https://bit.ly/3j991G3

Q: 6. What is the weight limit?

A: According to Camvate the load capacity of this arm is 8.8 pounds.

Q: 7. Could this support a MacBook Pro on a tilting tray fastened to a 5/8" baby pin - 1/4-20 end screwed into a tripod?

A: While the CAMVATE Magic Arm Ball Head with 5/8" Light Stand Socket could receive the baby pin and the 1/4"-20 end could screw into a 1/4"-20 female thread on a tripod, a Macbook Pro and tray would likely be too heavy for this arm.

Q: 8. What are the materials?

A: This is all metal, except for the collar on the 1/4" stud, which is made of plastic.

Q: 9. Is it possible to provide the weight of the arm without the cold shoe adapter?

A: The weight of the ANDYCINE Rugged Articulating Magic Arm is about 9oz.

Q: 10. What is the difference between this product and the Smallrig Articulating Arm which is more expensive? BH #SM2070B

A: I cannot find a good indicator that differentiated the two to make the more expensive option better other than an easier handle to twist.

[0.86 lb] Great for multiple purposes and can be easily reconfigured. Bought two and swapped parts to create one arm with ends that are Nato clamps and the other arm has ends that are 1/4-20 threads with anti rotation pins.
Great for holding camera monitors.

[1/4"-20 Male ] This A-MBH-04 Mini Double Ball Joint Articulating Arm is a very high quality product that is very strong for its function, size and weight.   The very robust aluminum red handle is very easy to add tension to both sides of the arm.   The range of what both ends have into ¼-20 mounts is very flexible and can achieve any angle I want.   I especially like the quickness in making fine tune adjustments and also that it takes very little space.   I use this with smaller and larger clamps
and they are very efficient for all my accessories.

[1/4"-20 Male ] Wish they had a 3-8 to NATO but this mostly does the job.

[0.86 lb] This product is very sturdy and strong for its price point. I would highly recommend this for anyone's rig! My Ninja V fits perfectly on this!

[1/4"-20 Male ] We just got 2 to use for monitor mounts for our new Shinobi 7's and they're rock solid. It definitely can hold way more weight than these monitors. Also, having rod mount locks makes changing locations on a rig much faster. Only thing is I wish the baseplate had a 1/4 20 thread so you could leave the monitor mount on all the time for different configurations without the arms. 5/5

[1/4"-20 Male ] Samller than the Kondor Blue Magic arm systems. Maybe a little less sturdy but cheaper and lighter. So far it's holding up pretty well

[0.86 lb] This articulating arm is well worth the price! It's so much stronger and more dependable than your standard articulating arm. Even the Pearstone arm can not compete with this. Since you are griping the arm on your rail rod system instead of screwing it on there is no chance of your monitor or led light coming loose. You can also remove both ends and have a standard baby pin articulating arm to rig whatever you want! The center joint uses teeth to prevent it from bending when tightened. Solid product!

[3] i bought this to replace some less expensive articulating arms (which were okay, but wouldn't hold the weight well, would often spin loose, etc.). i got one to hold my Blackmagic Video Assist and another to hold my Zoom H6, everything on board my shoulder rig for my BMPCC 6K. one man studio. i combined these with the Zhiyun-Tech TransMount Quick Setup Adapter quick-release mechanism for quick gear swaps.
