The 18" Lectrosonics MCAES3 TA5F to XLR 3-Pin Digital Cable 18"is a digital audio cable designed to connect the AES3 output of a mixer to the input of a Lectrosonics SPDR portable stereo digital recorder. It utilizes a standard XLR 3-pin female socket for the mixer end, and a TA5F 5-pin female jack on the recorder end. [Digital] I needed to go from my Sound Devices Mix Pre3 to a Lectrosonics SM transmitter to feed the mix to the camera. �Works fine. �Of course the camera receives a mono signal, but in post that's synced with the 2 (or 3) separate tracks recorded on the Pre3. �Good quality cable. 5

[RG-174U coaxial] We used this cable to shoot MOTS (after a convention meeting), and we weren't tethered to the camera. We had more freedom of motion than if we'd been cabled to the camera. The audio was excellent and I'd recommend this cable to anyone in the industry! 5

[Digital] This connector is really the only lectro connector I'll use. Easy disassembly, good contact pins, solid construction, and its priced perfectly. I also am a big fan of the all black look. 5
