Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this compatible with Bowen Calumet Travelite flash head?

A: No the 3000Ws Flash Tube for Bowens Gemini 750 Pro (UV) will not work on the 750 Travelite. For the Travelite 750 you need the Photogenic Bowens-Type FT750 Clear Flash Tube for Travelite, Esprit & Gemini BH #PHFT750CLR.

Q: 2. does this work being plugged into an ipad or ipad pro?

A: Yes, the Z CAM IPMAN Gemini Pro dual HDMI UVC capture dongle will support the iPad Pro with USB-C connectors. Please note the Gemini requires iOS version 17 or above.

Q: 3. Does this work with a7rii?

A: Yes this is compatible with Sony cameras that have the Multi-Interface Shoe like the A7 R II.

Q: 4. will this work with ellingchromes as well and will the Ellingchrome work with the Bowens?

A: No, it will not. The Bowens XMTRC Flash Trigger for Canon, B&H # BOBW5195C, is specifically designed for use with the Bowens XMT500 TTL Battery Powered 500Ws Monolight, which has a built-in Bowens XMT radio receiver. The receiver is not available as a separate purchase for use with other flashes, and the Bowens XMTRC Flash Trigger for Canon will not work with other brand/model strobe units (it is not even compatible with older Bowens flash units; the Bowens XMT500 Monolight is the only TTL monolight ever released by Bowens). As the Bowens XMT500 Monolight has a 1/8" (3.5mm) miniphone sync terminal on the bottom of the unit, you could purchase the Elinchrom Skyport receiver to connect to the sync terminal on the bottom of the unit, and you can purchase an Elinchrom Skyport transmitter for use on your camera, and that setup would wirelessly trigger the monolight. However, you will have to set the flash output power manually, as you cannot control the flash output of the Bowens XMT500 from the Elinchrom transmitter on the camera, and there would not be TTL automatic flash output when using the Elinchrom transmitter; you must use the Bowens transmitter if you need TTL flash output or the ability to set the flash output from the transmitter mounted on the camera.

Q: 5. Will it work with a Bowens 750 Gemini Pro as well?

A: This flash tube will work with a Gemini 750 Pro.

Q: 6. Does OBS see the Gemini Pro as one single video input device or as two separate video devices?

A: OBS will see the Gemini as 2 separate USB devices

Q: 7. I am having trouble with this transmitter on 2 parts. Using this transmitter with the Bowens XMT500s1. I can not get the XMTR transmitter on my Nikon D750 to go into TTL Mode. I have been up and down the menu in the transmitter and it will only stay in STR. For something that should be rather simple it has now crossed into frustrating. I have followed the instructions, but still wont go into TTL. What am I missing? 2. On my Nikon once the transmitter is in the hot shoe, I can not crank shutter speed over 1/250th to engage HSS. I have gone into the menu and engaged the 1/250th (Auto FP) but the camera will not roll past 1/250th. Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

A: We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble. It would be best to e-mail this directly regarding this issue to cs@bandh.com.

Q: 8. My gemini 500R has signaled E5 error, I replaced the other bulb and still getting same message. Would replacing this flash tube fix the issue?

A: A web search does bring up many Forums regarding the error message related to needing a flashtube. Unfortunately, Bowens isn't around anymore to ask. Try this Forum. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3381078

Q: 9. Will this work with a Bowen 500 Gemini 500pro?

A: According to the manufacturer this will work with a Gemini 500Pro.

Q: 10. Is it compatible for old bowens prolite 60 ? thanks

A: The Photogenic Bowens-Type FT750 Clear Flash Tube for Travelite, Esprit & Gemini is not compatible with the Bowens Prolite 60. And there is not one made any more.

[3000 Ws] Love my Quantum Q flashes, great consistent color along with the ability to overpower the sunlight

[0.335 lb] I have been very impressed with this product, low to no latency that i can notice. You would pay the same price for just the shoe mount and phone bracket, with it all being modular. Using it with my Sony fx6 for streaming so have yet to try the camera control features

[3000 Ws] This was just a replacement for one that I broke when I dropped my flash, but it works just as expected. I needed it fast and BH shipped it quickly and it arrived a day earlier then expected.

It was a great experience all around.

[3000 Ws] I needed to replace the old flash tube in my Travelite 750. This works perfectly. Easy to install.

[3000 Ws] All too often when a replacement part is ordered from a refrigerator water filter to electronic components, a cheap knock-off item is substituted. But this item is the real McCoy and is true quality.

[3000 Ws] Got it and it arrived broken, I believe it was the carriers fault but B&H made it very easy to submit a claim and I received a new one a week after, service was on point and the flash tube works perfect on my Ad1200 pro by godox.

[3000 Ws] It's big and it delivers. This is always a go to mic for vocals in my studio. Other mics include Neumann U87ai, Blue Kiwi, Shure KSM44s, and a Rode K2. They are all fantastic mics with individual character. The Gemini has been the best fit for a lot of vocalists. It has warmth, a sweet top end, and it just sounds right. Background noise is almost non-existent and it shares a spot with the best mics for this. The mic is big and heavy, so make sure your stand is up to the task with a counterweight if you are using a boom. Impressive to stand in front of, and impressive results. A favorite in my collection.

[0.335 lb] This is a great flash tube for those who can't find a replacement flash tube for their XMS 750. This will work. However, the prongs don't fully set into the strobe's receptacle- the width of the copper tube at the end of the prongs keep them from fully inserting.

That being said, you can push the flash tube prongs in as far as they will go until you feel the resistance and they will make contact and work.

The one thing is that the flash tube will be resting higher than it should once inserted, so you'll need to account for that when putting on your soft box, rings, barn doors, etc...
