[Clear] I was trying to buy this for a long time but it was perpetually back ordered. Then I discovered there's an old and a new model...just like the polarizer. You want the one that says Screw WII on it. Look for the WII. My guess is the old is always back-ordered because Canon doesn't make them anymore. That one seems to be in stock usually. It comes with a 52mm screw in PROTECT filter. Basically a piece of plain glass but wayyy better than the gelatin filter. I don't know why Canon insists on supplying the gelatin filter with the lens! It should come with the screw in type! I own the 200mm f/2 and the 400mm f/2.8. I also own three of these, one with the polarizer, one with a screw in Schneider UV filter and one with a soft-pro but that's mainly for the 200. They seem to be interchangeable between any of the long white L lenses. The 52mm filters are usually fairly cheap because of their size. 5

[Glass] I love being able to not bring screw on ND filters with my canon eos r. I can go around shooting pics of my kids outside playing and switch to video mode, dial in the ND and boom. I wish Blackmagic would do a pocket cinema camera with the RF mount. 5

[Clear] Im not sure that I would use it at a full 9stops as it seems like that image would require a lot more processing and color correction in post but so far I am happy with the results it gives me when I need to use it and happy to have it in my kit. Possibly a filter kit including all the filters availavble to that adapter for purhcase would be more convenient and cheaper? 5
