The Anchor Audio AN-MINIU2 Portable PA System with Wireless Micis a wearable, compact, and lightweight (at 2.5 lb) public-address system designed to project clear and intelligible speech or to listen to music. It delivers up to 30W of power with 100 dB of clear sound, reaching crowds up to 100 people for public gathering, tour, emergency-preparedness, or field-trip applications, and more.

The AN-MINIU2's built-in dual-channel receiver lets you connect two wireless microphones at a range of 150' (line-of-sight). The receiver operates in the less-populated 1.9 GHz frequency range with automatic frequency hopping to deliver a clear signal with reduced interference. A 1/4" mic jack lets you connect a traditional handheld microphone (available separately).

The unit features a 3.5mm line input for connecting a portable player, instrument, or CD player, while a 3.5mm line output lets you connect an external mixer, recorder, or additional speaker. Use the mic boost to help your voice project farther when addressing a large crowd or speaking in a noisy environment.

The AN-MINIU2 is powered via ten AA batteries and operates for up to 12 hours on a full charge. If used as a stationary unit, it can also be powered with the Anchor Audio AC-30 AC adapter (available separately).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it possible to wall mount this speaker?

A: You can purchase a wall bracket that used the standard poll bracket at the botttom to mount. This is what we use; https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B001CR64BE/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_CDJMBbF4ZK8R5

Q: 2. Is it possible to purchase a lavalier mic to work with this system?

A: The Samson LM5 Lavalier is a perfect addition to the Portable PA Kit with Wireless Headset and Handheld Microphone.

Q: 3. What is the range of the wireless headset mic?

A: Approximately 100' line of sight.

Q: 4. Can the ststem and lavalier be used to play mysic downloaded on Apple iphone?

A: The Samson Expedition XP106w portable PA system supports streaming audio from an Apple iPhone via bluetooth.

Q: 5. Can I change the wireless mic frequencies?

A: No, you can not manually change the frequency on these systems. They are not fixed frequency, either, rather they automatically channel hop to find the best available frequency.

Q: 6. Is this PA´s battery allowed to be in carry on lugagge?

A: You would have to check with your carrier.

Q: 7. can a wireless transmitter be hooked to a receiver 's speaker her. ?

A: I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. The thing that looks like a USB stick in the product photo IS a wireless transmitter. The transmitter plugs into the back of the speaker and relays input from the mic to the speaker.

Q: 8. If I purchase a second system and connect them, can I then use all the input ports on both speakers and get the sound out of both speakers? Could this be a way to add a second wireless mic to the system?

A: Yes indeed. Great idea!

Q: 9. Can the Samson Expedition use on 220-240V power supply to charge?

A: Yes. In New Zealand we have a 230v AC power grid and i have no trouble charging the speaker. The charger that comes with the Samson Expedition XP106W is rated for use on 100-240v 50/60Hz.

Q: 10. Does this have some sort of protective traveling bag? Is there one we can purchase?

A: Unfortunately, there is not a bag included or one made specifically for the Samson XP106LE. The best recommendation I can make at this point is a small tote speaker bag; B&H# GAGPATOTE8. The speaker is right under 15 tall, and this bag measures 18 wide. You will have about 4 of clearance. As far width and depth compatibility, the speaker is about 10 wide and 9 deep. This tote bag is 11 X 11 allowing for 1-2 of clearance.

[30 W, AC/DC] I have analyzed and researched before buying this product. I was choosing between this and the mackie freeplay, at the end after reading many user reviews, I opted for the samson. The truth is that the quality of the material, sound and two microphones system were pleasantly surprised. I used as speaker speech to 300 people and sounds good and sufficient even outdoors. I've also used as a speaker for listening to music via bluetooth outdoor to 150 people, and even with half the volume was great. I recommend buying this system so much. Only 3 suggestions: 1. incorporating a progressive indicator of battery life, 2. a bag carry and 3. an app for the smartphone.

[2.42 lb] I needed a small sound system for my daughter's outdoor wedding this summer so I looked and studied for several weeks before buying this unit. I am no novice to sound and was a little worried about the quality of this system for the price. I have experience operating $100,000+ systems at church, a municipal auditorium and run the sound at the American Legion World Series. I am no sound system snob, but want quality. When I received this portable PA system this morning and turned it on, I was blown away with the quality of sound when I paired it with my iPhone and started playing the Doobie Brothers. In addition, I was even more delighted with the sound quality of the two wireless mics. They may not be $2000 wireless mics, but they work well. Simple to pair mics with system. I even hooked the Samson system with another little Apollo system that I have had for years. It cost 4 times as much as the Samson and there is no difference in quality. The system packs lots of volume punch and maintains sound quality. I guess the only issue that I will be interested in is the battery performance. I can highly recommend this system to anyone needing a good portable sound system for a great price. It is about the size of a carry-on suitcase or an average camera bag.

[30 W, AC/DC] Our museum purchased another unit that was really nothing more than a toy. The speaker was mostly for testing the waters with our tour guides; unfortunately the bad sound, uncomfortable headset, and low volume, really turned them off to the whole idea. We spent the extra money and purchased the MiniVox Lite and could not be happier. This little guy really packs a wallop and sounds great, making it not only ideal for our tour guides, but also as an ad-hoc PA system for outdoor events. Thanks Anchor, thanks B&H.

[2.42 lb] The 100watt speaker is powerful for a medium size event. 20lb weight is easy to carry around. The battery powered feature is totally cable free. When there are no outlet available, this speaker does the job. I just don't like that the USB port is only for the Samson wireless microphone and no built-in wireless mic receiver for other mics.
