Made from neoprene, it provides a thermal barrier, and is easy to install or remove. The Hoodie has a reinforced, removable, front lens element disc made from rigid plastic and foam to protect your glass from damage. Use this made in the USA hoodie to complement the LensCoat cover of the same color on your lens.

The purple color is useful for color-coding multiple lenses.

[Neoprene] The Lenscoat hoodie is much easier to use than the included Nikon soft head cover that came with the 600 f/4 E lens. The hoodie is easier to get on and off, and requires less room when transporting in a bag. The Realtree Max5 matches great with the Lenscoat Max5 I put on the lens. 5

[Neoprene] Fits my AF-S 400mm 2.8 hood well. Even fits with the Lenscoat Lens cover. It won't keep dust off the lens by virtue of Nikon's two piece Lens Hood. It doesn't cover the gaps where the hoods connect. Still some protection from objects in the woods poking the glass. Easy on/off. 5
