Q: 8. Canon 5d Mark iii will only Auto Focus the first shot and then it switches to manual focus. Tried updating firmware and used the different connections on the PW and the same result. Any advice?

A: thats strange.. that never happened to me.i use it with my canon 5d Mark iii along with MultiMax Pocket Wizards.maybe you are not pressing the test button all the way down on the pocket wizard?maybe you have the settings wrong on your pw ? (this is most likely the reason)maybe you got a bad cable?maybe your lens is not working properly?

[0.09 lb] With so many different connections on camera bodies it makes sense to de-couple the actual trigger mechanism from the camera connection. Coming from the older trigger single cable with a screw-in 10 pin connector I didn't quite get the two cable set up. The packaging does a good job at explaining this though. What it didn't explain is that the Nikon USB connection is polarized, although it looks like it could go in either way. Again I was used to the older trapezoidal shaped connection in which the mating orientation is way more obvious. Once everything is mated it works just as I expected. With the trigger being so small you just have to learn which position is Normal vs Pre-Trigger. Still no problem. 5

[3' / 91 cm] Arrived quickly and packaging was good. The cable is well-made, with good molded jacks. The USB cable is a bit shorter than the trigger side, but, that is no problem. I use this on a Sony RX100M3 to supply power and allow for trigger half-pressing. (When using the HDMI-out on this camera, the signal is fuzzy until you press halfway. Holding this half-trigger, this HDMI output is very clean.) 5

[3' / 91 cm] Great quality product from pocketwizard. �Although I think the cable is expensive, it's what I needed to trigger my Canon cameras (40D, 7D, 5D markII) with my pocketwizard TT5. �Siply plug the cable into the pocketwizard's camera connection and the other end goes into the N3 connector on my Canon. This also comes with an adapter but I didn't need it. 5
