The Manfrotto Carbon Fiber Video Tripod with Mid-Level Spreaderis suitable for use on flat, smooth surfaces as well as uneven terrain, and it features carbon fiber tubes that are both strong and lightweight while being corrosion resistant. The legs incorporate a 100mm half bowl and include a 75mm adapter ring, so you can use them with heads that have either a 100 or 75mm half ball. The legs support up to 44.1 pounds, which allows you to mount an appropriately sized fluid head, camera, and accessories without straining the capacity of the legs.

With the included mid-level spreader attached the height of the legs can be adjusted from just under 2 to over 5 feet high, and the legs collapse to under 28 inches in length for transport and storage. Removing the included rubber feet reveals the dual spiked feet, which are useful for soft surfaces such as gravel, dirt, or sand. The legs weigh a mere 6.61 pounds, making them easy to take almost anywhere you can go.

The integrated lever locks are strong, durable, and increase the torsional stability of the legs.

The included adapter ring is removable and attaches with three mounting screws. Attaching the adapter converts the 100mm bowl into a 75mm bowl.

The removable mid-level spreader enables using the legs on uneven terrain, and can be used to stabilize the legs on uneven surfaces such as stairs.

A: It really depends on your application. Ground level spreader provides best support on a surface that is completely leveled; the mid-level spread will allow for some adjustment (of a single leg or multiple) if the standing surface is uneven.

A: No, sorry mid-level tripod spreaders like this only work on multi-tube video tripods that have matching proprietary connections.

[100 mm Bowl] This is a great tripod. My last tripod was also Manfrotto. They are just made better and last longer. I splurged a little on this their latest model because it not only has a light on the bubble it also has a counter balance with it. Also big bonus for me is it has your locking along with the vertical drag on left side of the head. Love it! 5

[Carbon Fiber] Upgraded from a very old Manfrotto tripod and head. Based on reviews of the 504HD, the 504X addresses the concerns people had with the 504HD (like the pan-lock location). The fluid head can be less than smooth when I have my 5d4 with a monitor and a 100-400 with 2x tc, but that’s probably user error due to balancing. I haven’t had any lens slaps as it is easy to balance. The head is of very solid construction, seems like it could take a few hits and keep on keeping on. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. 0 buyer’s remorse and I look forward to improving my wildlife filming skills with this new set up. 5

[100 mm Bowl] Even if I had to pay full price this would have been worth it. This updated design of the Tripod is really thoughtful. The controls are where you would like them. Also the flat mount of the head to the ball makes it much lower profile when moving to other non tripod mounting options. The other products that came in the bundle are not something I need (or really wanted). However, at the price of free it was fine. But these EXTRA items should never be purchased at their full list price...ever! 5

[8.75 lb] Was really tired of having shaky footage or missing moments due to trying to wrangle our older tripod. This is so solid and has incredibly smooth pan and tilt motion, it's absolutely buttery. Very happy with the purchase, as always nice to see Manfrotto on top. 5
