[1.075 lb] Have been able to dive with it yet; but I'm impressed with the quality and the fact that all functions are accessible and it looks like the flash diffuser should work well - has to be better than my Canon G10 one which left a distinct shadow (of the lens barrel) in every flash shot.

[1.075 lb] I bought this housing because I wanted to use a good compact Sony camera to capture underwater wildlife. I was frustrated with the GoPro and unimpressive still photos. The housing allows use of all buttons on the camera and functions that allow quality pictures underwater. I have included pictures from my first time use in Kona Hawaii. Make your own conclusions from my experience. I highly recommend this housing.

[1.075 lb] I have had previous iterations of Sony's underwater housing for cybershot cameras such as the MPK-WEB. I find this a vast improvement. The controls are well spaced and intuitive, giving full access to all the cameras features. The additional locking mechanism on the also side ensures no chance of inadvertently opening the back door while in use. I cant wait to try it out on our next adventure!!

[13 oz / 369 g] I bought this case shortly before Covid stroke in anticipation of doing some snorkeling. Unfortunately the case was collecting dust for the few years thereafter - but finally I was able to use it!


1. Inserting the camera is a breeze. Unlike other cases it is extremely easy to insert the camera - which is great!
2. I didn't ever expereience fog in the case as I have seen it in other cases before. Highly appreciated!
3. The case is really sturdy and well built! I never had problems pushing the buttons I was trying to hit!
4. The case really allows the full extent of the lens which makes it work the full range - which is awesome! (well - if the water is clear, the sun is bright and you can hold steady that is)
5. Sunglare and reflections as I have seen it on other cases didn't happen. The case is really great in making the camera and the screen content easily visible even when snorkling and when the sun is at its brightest!
6. Very easy to clean.


On the downside:
A. The case is definitely a bit bulkier than the others I had before.
B. Be careful with the strap. After using it the third (!!) time I noticed that the rubber was showing some weakness (and you do not want to have the case falling - I do have my doubts that that would be good). As the case is technically already 2 years old I think I am beyond my warranty and have to buy new ones. But: Be careful!


All in all: In my experience the Sony RX100 series (used the II, III, and IV before already for underater photography) is super awesome for underwater photography as it is super fast on, focuses super fast and the pictures are sharp. Together with this case it is an awesome combination!

[1.075 lb] I bought to use my RX100V camera on a live aboard trip. Did around 35 dives with no complains at all. All commands and functions worked perfectly.

[13 oz / 369 g] I shoot underwater for a living, this product is incredible. Affordable, yet outperforms many other waterhousings. Although it is not made for the RX100vii as the zoom stops at 68mm as the housing is not big enough. This is not an issue, as you would almost never use the zoom function in the water.

[1.075 lb] I used it for a week snorkeling in Hawaii. No problems. Overall good experience.
Need to set the display brightness to "Sunny day".
I used Shutter priority mode to make sure shutter speed is at least 1/250 or faster.

[13 oz / 369 g] The TG-6 handles much better that the TG-5 Ikelite has done ok with this housing for the TG-6. Its rated and tested beyond the specks listed if you ever have a problem with their products all you have to do is call the manufacturing facility in Indianapolis. Don't call in mad a screaming when things don't work that's life, Ikelite employees will walk you though any troubles you are experiencing so take a deep breath and get ready to learn something new about your rig.

[1.075 lb] I have not yet used this device underwater, but it's easy to see that it's a very well engineered product. All controls are easily accessible, and the camera goes into the housing with no problem. Sony did a great job in building this unit. It's very well made and I cannot think of anything they could have done to make it better. I will use it with the RX100 M5, and this will increase it's value to me.
