The Moza Air 2 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer for Handheld Usehas been upgraded over previous versions with newly optimized high-torque motors, a 9.25 lb weight capacity, and many other features. The high weight capacity allows for a much wider range of cameras to be used, as well as wider combinations of cameras and lenses. The Air 2 also supports the optional Moza iFOCUS Intelligent Wireless Lens Control System, which comes in different versions to offer standard and automatic (with preset start/end points) focus and zoom control directly from the Air 2.

Another standout aspect of the Air 2 is that it clears and provides an unobstructed view of the camera LCD thanks to an angled motor arm. There is a total of 12 physical buttons for controlling the gimbal and camera, as well as adjusting settings such as shutter, aperture, and exposure compensation (where applicable). The joystick, smart wheel, and smart trigger controls are customizable in multiple combinations for different shooting styles. Most of the settings and customizations, as well as the gimbal status, are confirmed on an OLED display that provides intuitive information feedback.

The Air 2 features eight different operational modes, including single-axis and dual-axis modes such as pan follow and pan tilt follow (please see the Features section below for the full list). These modes allow for different shooting styles that Moza calls Sport Gear, FPV, Panorama, Tracking, and Inception styles. Inception, for example, allows you to rotate the camera as you push in on a subject.

The gimbal runs on four included lithium-ion 18650 batteries which provide up to 16 hours of runtime. The batteries are replaceable for continued operation. Designed with Moza's SPARK power supply system, the Air 2 has an input port that provides an alternate way of powering the gimbal, and three output ports for powering the camera and accessories using optional Moza adapter cables.

The Air 2 also offers various time-lapse functions including motion-lapse, tracking time-lapse, and zoom time-lapse, each allowing you to achieve a different look. Other features include an efficient auto-tuning system that selects optimal parameters based on your total load.

The Air 2 is easy to balance thanks to visual markers and other identifiable information. It also has a mechanical memory quick release system that helps readjust the camera without having to rebalance the gimbal. For tripod mounting and attaching accessories, the Moza Air 2 provides a 3/8"-16 threaded hole on the front of the handle and 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes on the bottom.

[Lithium-Ion] I am new to using a gimbal, but so far this gimbal has proven easy to setup. The balancing with my Nikon D780 was very easy, just a few minutes. The menu and access to controls are very easy to understand and operate. Understanding those feature, the why and when to use those features, is the real challenge. That would be the case with any brand of gimbals. I have no doubt that with some Youtube reviews and tutorials and a little practice, anyone can get the techniques down.

[16 Hours] This is one of the easiest gimbal to setup and balance.  It is very well constructed.  The only thing I wish it had was an included hard shell case(not the cardboard case).

[Bluetooth 4.0] I tried the Ronin S (I have a Ronin M) and also the Zhiyun Weebil Lab, Crane Plus. I liked the Ronin S. The Weebil Lab and Crane Plus I did not care for.

This gimbal rocks. Nice build, can make all changes through the onboard display and joystick. Inception mode is there. No blocking of the camera display (great for Sony cameras), and it is my favorite gimbal right now. People come up and ask me about it when Im carrying it around to different events.

REMOVABLE BATTERIES! (Ronin S doesnt have this).

Super easy to change sensitivity for each axis with the rotating dial.

If youre looking for a great gimbal, you wont be sorry with this one.

[Bluetooth 4.0] All gimbals make a good job stabilizing the shots, but what I love about the Moza Air 2 is its features like 2 output DC, one 7.2v and 12v. That allows me to use a monitor without any external battery.
I also like the plate which is compatible with all Manfrotto tripods.

[Lithium-Ion] This is my first gimbal so I have no experience to compare it to anything else. It works well, but it did take me a few weeks to get more comfortable with using it and understanding how it works. I am using it with a Canon 5D Mark VI and it works well. To clarify what another viewer said about it interfacing with Canon cameras - It will not control focus without using the iFocus motor. I knew that from the start so it was not a surprise. The iFocus motor works extremely well, but figuring out how to mount it took hours of experimentation. The iFocus motor also controls the zoom well on my Canon 24-70 F2.8 II lens.

The motors on this gimbal are very strong and I love the menu that can be accessed on the handle. The Android app is also very good but the app does not provide iFocus support at this time so you have to go into the menu on the gimbal itself if you want to set focus or zoom parameters from point A to B.

I know some Canon cameras can control the ISO, AV, shutter speed or whatever else from the buttons on the handle. This does not work at this time for the Canon 5D Mark IV but I can control start and stop recording from the button on the handle. I can also do this from the app, but once again I cant change any other camera settings from the app.

I dont think Moza has support or repair service in the United States so I hope that is never an issue, but it was a concern when I purchased this.  And their customer service may be sketchy from what I have heard and a lot of patience may be required. I hope they improve in this area because the product itself is very good.

[4x 18650] Like most. I read lots before buying this gimbal. Ultimately, it was Nikons decision to pair this gimbal with their Z6 that made me commit. The only concern in the many reviews that I read and watched was that the gimbal is on the heavy side. I do not find it to be a problem, but I dont shoot for hours at a time. I have used the Moza with a Canon 5D M3 and the Z6. The Nikon provides much better video, so I prefer that setup. The only problem using the Nikon is that the Moza does not ship with the Nikon cable. The Canon cable is included.
The battery life is phenomenal. I also like how easy it is to balance the gimbal. Once balanced, the camera can be removed for transport and reattached with no additional balancing. Thats a feature I use often. As for the obvious, the gimbal performs as advertised. For me, this was the perfect choice for the cameras I own.

[4x 18650] I got this as part of the Nikon Z6 filmmakers kit, as it's my first there was a bit of a learning curve - once you get the hang of balance and calibration it's a breeze.
Strong, dependable and more features than I need (yet)

Here's what impressed me though:
Customer Support. I have had it a while and the grip cover had a little flaw, no big deal. Then a battery conked out, so I wrote customer support (they use cool, but non-standard batteries). Ella responded within an hour, asked for a photo and serial number -then promptly shipped be replacements by two day mail.
That says a lot about a company in my book.
(plus - the moza is pretty awesome!)
