Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the gloves at least water-resistant?

A: I would classify these gloves as weather resistant.

Q: 2. Can I use it for touch screen? Without exposing my fingers :)

A: Hi--the zip flip fingertips are designed for that, so you would need to expose the end of a finger to use a touch screen.

Q: 3. are these touch screen compatible ?

A: Yes because you can remove the fingertips so that you have access to your fingers.

Q: 4. Size chart ?!

A: There a size-chart for the Vallerret Markhof V3 globes available under the photographs of the image. It is the last image in the photo set.

Q: 5. Is this the new version, 2?

A: Yes, this is the Model 2.0 version.

Q: 6. How do these compare to the Women's Nordic Photography gloves? Which would be warmer? What about sizing?

A: The womens Nordic Gloves are going to be water resistant and have a Merino wool liner so they would be the better choice to go with in the cold. Sizing wise it is roughly the same.

Q: 7. Are the pockets located on the back of the hand, and are the pockets large enough to hold "Heat Factory" hand warmers from REI?

A: The pocket is located on the back of the glove, however they are not large enough for hand warmers.

Q: 8. How do I determine the size I need?

A: The way to Measure what side you need for the Vallerret Power Stretch Pro Liner Photography Gloves (Large, Black) 1) Measure around the widest part of your hand with a relaxed open palm. 2) Measure form the base of your hand, to the tip of your middle finger. Please see the 6th photo for more information on sizing.

Q: 9. Could you use these with a disposable hand warmer?

A: Yes.

Q: 10. I measure between a medium and large. I want to wear them under my Markhof V2 gloves and purchased large because I heard they run small and they are just large enough. Should I get a large in these liners or go with the sizing chart and get mediums?

A: It would be best to get the Power Stretch Pro Liner in the large size.

[Suede, Wool] I waited until after this recent Winter to review. They work great. Ive had these out in the teens and they work fine. Just know that your finger tips take a while to warm up again after you expose them to the elements. No issues with moisture - everything stays dry. The tacky grip works well in wet weather. Couldnt be happier.

[Suede, Wool] when shooting in cold weather. I can still back focus with my thumb with these gloves

[Suede, Wool] Gloves that are supposed to work with touch screens suck. This is way better, keep my hands way warmer, and can even unlock my phone with my finger print.

[Suede, Wool] Bought these for my wife; she does nature photography and in the winter has always had issues with wearing 'winter' gloves. These are fantastic. She loves them; even if she doesn't expose her fingers, the grippy tips make shooting and making adjustments easy.

[Suede, Wool] These gloves are great for photography! Good for temperatures down to freezing. Anything colder, then go with the manufacturer’s other option for sub freezing conditions (as outlined by them)

[Unisex XS] I haven't gotten to use these in the cold yet (unfortunately we had an unprecedented snow and ice storm with sub-zero temps for a week straight but I didn't have these gloves delivered yet), but they fit pretty snug and give a good grip on the camera as well as the ability to use all camera functions easily with the pull back magnetized thumbs and forefinger tips. It would be nice if the magnet was a little stronger but it seems to hold once it is set. The zipper pocket is nice to keep extra memory cards in or money or whatever. I wish the Vallerret nameplate wasn't there or that it was embroidered in or something other than a metal-like plate that I think will catch on things and rip off eventually. Satisfied overall.

[Unisex XS] I have used these gloves almost every day since getting them a week ago. It's been very cold (temperatures between 10-20 degrees), and these gloves are not quite warm enough for that kind of cold, but otherwise they are very nice. Extremely gripping fingers and palms, and the flip-back thumbs and index fingers make tasks requiring fine dexterity a breeze. Highly recommended.

[0.355 lb] I was looking for some gloves that would keep my hands warm when the temperatures are in the 20s and 30s that would also let me use the controls on my camera. These gloves did the job the other day.

Using the sizing information on the Vallerret Markhof web site let me pick the glove size that fits comfortably. I should even be able to slip a heating pad inside the glove over the back of my hand to provide some additional warmth. I was able to easily flip the finger tips open so I could use the camera controls then flip the tips back to cover my fingers. I felt that I had great grip on my camera. I was also able to even change lenses while wearing the gloves.
