This 4 RU tall Lowell Rackmount Steel Utility Drawer 4 RUfrom Lowell Rackmount Steel Utility Drawer 4 RUis made from 16-gauge steel. It is fully welded for strength and has a black powder epoxy finish for long life. The drawer mounts to the front of 19" racks with standard E.I.A. spacing. Supporting up to 50 pounds, the drawer features internal ball-bearing slides, providing smooth operation.

At the back of the drawer is a plastic bushing that allows for wire/cable pass-through, and an integral handle provides for an effective drawer pull. The drawer is made in the USA.

That being said, if held at an angle and especially with any additional weight inside the drawer it’s fairly easy for that latch to pop open and the drawers will move. Locking the drawers would be the only way to truly secure them in place if at an angle."
