Q: 7. I have 3 411a being fed via smda's and smqv's and 2 sets of LT/LRs. They're all different blocks from 470 to 22. Would two of these work for all of my sets at the same time if I used a splitter? Or do I have to get two for each band?

A: Hello. This is Nick at Lectrosonics Tech Support. The SNA600a has an effective bandwidth of approximately 100MHz, 50MHz above and 50MHz below the center frequency that you set by adjusting the length of the antenna's arms. However, the sensitivity rolls off gradually above and below the +/- 50MHz points. The SNA600a measures less than 2:1 SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) from 465-850 MHz when the antenna arms are fully extended. In other words, depending on your application (range, RF output power settings on transmitters, obstruction to line of sight between transmitters and receivers, etc.) the SNA600a may work for you over greater than 100MHz bandwidth. A: This antenna is compatible with both of your receivers. You probably need two of them for best results.

Q: 9. Can I plug this directly into an SMV transmitter that's set to IFB mode and get a better signal?

A: Yes, in theory the Lectrosonics SNA600a Adjustable Dipole Antenna's BNC connection could be adapted to the "SMA" type antenna connection on a Lectrosonics SMv transmitter to widen the transmitters output signal.

Q: 10. I'd like to boost the range of my Lectro dualSRC (a1)Rx and (block 23) IFB Tx. Do you suggest multiple sna's ( one for each unit ) or would a splitter be optimal ?

A: Diversity receivers use 2 antennas, so for the SRc, best practice would be to use 2 for the receiver. As the SRc is not a true diversity receiver unless in ratio mode, it will not dramatically increase range in switch mode (the mode the SRc must be in to receive 2 channels). It's not recommended to use the same antenna for transmission and reception, so the IFB should be on a different antenna altogether.

[13.5 x 1 x 1"] With the crowded spectrum that we now deal with I have begun to add wireless systems in the lower frequency bands. This antenna lets me use my ULX-J1, QLX-D H50, and SLX-D G58 systems with the same antenna.

[518 to 598 MHz] I mounted all my Shure SLX receivers in a rack case for ease of movement and set up at each venue coupled them to a Shure UA844 distribution unit. Thu the installation instructions stated that the 1/4 wave antennas that come with the receivers worked, I decided to go with the 1/2 wave antennas to avoid problems.

[13.5 x 1 x 1"] Bought to improve signal reception due to frequent dropouts and we want to be able to remote mount in the future. The construction is solid. Antenna is about 13 inches long. Works well with the Shure SLX4 receiver. We saw a definite improvement in the radio signal over the basic 1/4 wave antennas. Works on any frequency between 470-636.
