The Fotopro E9 Eagle Series Tripod Kitfrom Fotopro E9 Eagle Series Tripod Kitis a 4-section carbon fiber support with twist locks that disengage with a quarter turn. Therefore, you are able to extend the legs from a folded length of 25.6" to a maximum height of 64". With its independent leg spread and three variable leg angles, you can lower the tripod to a minimum height of 6.3".

The 10.5 lb support includes the gimbal head with independent screw knobs to control the 360° rotation of the head and the swing of the camera platform. The camera platform can be balanced vertically and horizontally to accommodate the size and weight of the camera. Therefore, it gives you the freedom of moving large telephoto lenses without effort. The swinging camera platform is Arca-type compatible, and the head has a built-in leveler, which eliminates the need for raising or lowering the legs to level the tripod.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do I need accessories to be able to level the gimbal head?

A: The gimbal head has a level so that you can level your tripod using the bubble on the gimbal but a leveling base would be ideal to use in conjunction with this head. You can click on the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/2QEeZ43

Q: 2. Can the handle be removed?

A: Yes.

Q: 3. how much does this gimbal weigh?

A: The Fotopro E-6H Eagle Series Gimbal Head weights 2 lb / 907 g.

Q: 4. Does this gimbal work on any tripod?

A: This would connect to any tripod that uses a standard base thread of 3/8.

Q: 5. this particular tripod and head will it handle lens as small as 50mm Nikon?

A: Hi, this gimbal and most gimbals are designed for a large telephoto lens with a tripod collar to be mounted to it, not the camera. A 50mm lens doesn't have any mounting capability by itself, but you could mount a camera using a compatible quick-release plate.

Q: 6. Nikon mirrorless

A: Yes, the Fotopro Eagle E6 gimbal/tripod combination would work well with Nikon mirrorless camera and lenses. As is typical with most gimbals, as best practice, please attach your system via your lens' tripod collar rather than via the mirrorless camera.

Q: 7. Can I buy just the tripod without the head? I already own the E6H gamble and love it.

A: Unfortunately, this model only includes the head.

Q: 8. Can you just buy the tripod without the gimbal head?

A: This tripod is not available for sale separately.

Q: 9. Does the gimbal have friction adjustment or just lock?

A: It does have tension/friction control by tightening or loosening the knobs.

Q: 10. can it rotate on the nodal point of a 70-200mm lens for panoramas?

A: The Fotopro E-6H Eagle Series Gimbal Head may be capable of rotating on the nodal point of a 70-200mm lens, but it's not designed for panoramic photography, so there is no documentation of that.

[Carbon Fiber] This is what I was looking for in a walk-around gimbal on a composite tripod. I use a Sigma 150-600 Sport and full frame camera that comes in a little over 11 pounds. My comparison is a Wimberley on a heavy aluminum tripod which I would never part with.

Because of the reduced size over the big gimbal, there are some limitations in movement but after a few weeks in the field it didn't seem to be a problem. The lens fit is tight and I can't lower the lens enough to line up with the center line of the upper arm swing (not a real problem). If you tilt the arm back 45 degrees you can shoot from slightly below horizontal to almost straight up. I was concerned this would shift the tripod center of gravity to be unstable but it didn't seem to be a problem. You can easily remove the bottom arm and utilize the side plate which worked great for me.

The one con some may have is the tension adjustment. Although the spin action is extremely smooth in all directions, it comes with a lot of built in drag compared to the Wimbley which you can bring down to free spinning. I like a slight drag but you don't have any options - it's pretty much drag or lockup. After some time in the field (birds-in-flight) I never missed a shot because of drag so it wasn't a problem for me - hope it loosens up a little over time. At least with a big heavy lens it doesn't flop around in the wind and with a zoom you're out of balance about half the time.

[Carbon Fiber] This has to be one of the best purchases of gear I have made for my photography adventures. Whether I use if for birds in flight or landscape, it is just a simple change. It is extremely well built and the extra locking features make accidents a thing of the past. If you need a gimbal this is the one.

[Removable] It is the most flexible gimbal head. Solid feel, and smooth.

[Gimbal Head] Once I started working with it I was struck by the simple elegance and efficiency of this remarkable bit of kit. I alternate between BIF and landscape and have frequently been frustrated by not being able to use my tripod and go back and forth between the two modes without having to do a swap between heads, or having to handhold one depending on whether a gimbal or ball head was mounted when I left the house. The quick release buttons to adjust angle in the field seemed a bit gimmicky but actually is proving quite practical in use.

Construction is as elegant as the design. It's light, but seems more than sturdy enough (though time will test that), and the knobs are big and knurled enough to function with gloves on. In all very pleased.

[Yes] I have never owned anything this nice. Looks and feels like it was made for NASA. So many adjustment choices. Great for using with heavy long telephoto and moves smooth as silk.

[Twist Lock] I bought this to use with spotting scopes and small refractors, the ability to tilt the upright arm is excellent with scopes. My only issue so far is the tripod seems to have some flex and with 5-600mm focal lengths I do get some shake when trying to focus. The shake settles out in about 5 seconds but it is not as steady as I was hoping. The package is great for a small scope (or camera) for quick set-up but I plan to use the head on a sturdier tripod when using bigger telescopes.

The head itself is working wonderfully.

[Gimbal Head] The Fotopro E-6H Eagle Series Gimbal Head is an excellent head to use. I was looking for smaller gimbal head for my tripod setup which is more stable than a ball head. It is easier to maneuver when taking wildlife photos and other photos in multiple genres of photography. I highly recommend this gimbal head

[28 x 13 x 6.7"] I just received this item and can confirm the weight stated here is inaccurate. This model actually weighs 850 g (just under 2 lb), not 1.54 lb/700 g as stated on this website.

Still lightweight for a gimbal system, easy to operate. There is an information card in the zippered pouch of the item's case, and I was able to quickly figure out operation of all knobs. A couple of the knobs have an indented press button you have to depress to fully turn the knob. You can remove the telephoto lens rest to attach a camera with an L-bracket for landscape shots.
