This lens is calculated for a 5MP 1 sensor, as long your sensor is within this specifications (pixel pitch not less than 5m) youre fine. But please keep in mind, they are two kind of sharpness the technical sharpness of the picture and the impression of sharpness.

A: The great advantage of E mount is that it eliminates the need of making lenses that have to leave room in the optical path for a mirror. Thus the lenses are shorter, smaller in diameter and less costly to build. However, these same lenses, because they do not allow for that mirror distance from the sensor, cannot work on EF cameras. If you were to mount it, the lens would create its image on a plane in front of the sensor. In other words, the lens could not focus and your image is a big blur. So if Fujinon were to make a lens of this focal length for EF, it would be longer, wider and more expensive.

A: I would say that the image quality of the Kowa is very good and comparable with the Veydra. I would say that your choice comes down to features. If you are stills oriented with occasional video, the Kowa might be just the ticket. If you will be doing only video, the cinema oriented Veydra set of primes would be good choice.

A: The Fujinon MK18-55mm, being a wide to medium zoom, is an unlikely candidate for a teleconverter. Generally speaking, teleconverters are only effective on fast, high quality prime telephoto lenses. Use on other lenses is usually not successful. Mostly the issues are the lens becoming too dark for proper auto or manual focus, softening of the image, introduction of chromatic aberration and inability to mate due to conflicts in design. At this time there are only two E mount teleconverters available on the market. They are made by Sony and the only lens compatible with them at this time is the Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS.
