The Bright Tangerine BMD URSA Mini Left Field Sliding Platefrom Bright Tangerine BMD URSA Mini Left Field Sliding Plateprovides a sliding quick release top plate for your Blackmagic Design URSA Mini camera for mounting a top handle or other accessories. The included Left Field 15mm LWS Bracket mounts onto the front of the Top Plate, providing top-mounted 15mm LWS rod support.

Use this top plate with a separately available Dovetail Plate to create a sliding counterbalance system that can be quickly adjusted depending on the weight and location of your attached accessories. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 ARRI-style anti-twist threads are provided for top-mounting accessories. The Top Plate mounts directly on your camera. The 15mm LWS bracket allows you to add standard 15mm LWS rods to your camera or camera cage.

Q: 1. Can you mount this on the wooden camera top plate for FX6?

A: We can only say that the Bright Tangerine Cheese Plate for Sony FX6 works with the Bright Tangerine FX6 top plate it was designed to work with. Bright Tangerine Top Plate II for Sony FX6 BH #BRB40041018

Q: 2. Does this riser plate have 1/4 20 or 3/8 16 threaded holes on the bottom for direct attachment to a tripod plate with using the additional Bright Tangerine cage? Thanks

A: Yes the dove tail on the bottom does have multiple 1/4. 20 and 3/8 holes for mounting onto a trip pod

Q: 3. How is the Revolvr Atom Cine kit different from the the Revolvr Atom Mini Kit? What's the main difference or part?

A: I believe the gearing ratios are 1:1.8 on the cine and 1:1 on the mini. The cine version is designed for cine lenses with long focus throws.

Q: 4. Just to be clear, this is about the same dimensions as any other dovetails?

A: To be clear, this is exactly the same dimensions as an ARRI dovetail.

Q: 5. What's the length of the cavity for the screws on riser? Meaning how far apart the two screws can be positioned?

A: The Bright Tangerine Left Field 15mm LWS Baseplate Bundle for Sony VENICE & VENICE 2 has a distance of 59mm between the two ends of where the camera screws are located.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the bmd viewfinder

A: Hello No at this stage with out a 3rd part connection our cage will not take the standard View finder

Q: 7. Thanks for answering. I also have the DSMC2 side handle. I need to ask then: Can you rotate the plate and reattach the rod clamps so that the dovetail locking clamp is on the opposite side of the side handle? In the first 2 images it appears as though it is on the media bay side. Or will the body then block the clamp?

A: We are not aware of this unit being able to be used in the opposite direction. You will need to attach it to the camera as shown.

Q: 8. Will this mount onto an arri-style dovetail?

A: The Bright Tangerine Universal BUD Plate is designed to fit the 88mm ARRI BUD standard plate size such as the Bright Tangerine BUD Universal Stabilizer Adapter Mount (6"), BH #BRB40041040. It would not be compatible with ARRI Standard dovetails such as the Bright Tangerine LeftField 3 ARRI Standard Dovetail (12"), BH #BRB40031017.

Q: 9. Is this Manfrotto compatible? If not, does Bright Tangerine make a dovetail that is?

A: Unfortunately, the Bright Tangerine Left Field ARRI-Style Dovetail Plate is not Manfrotto compatible. It is an ARRI dovetail standard. Consider instead the Bright Tangerine Manfrotto Dovetail for RED V-RAPTOR and the Bright Tangerine Manfrotto Riser for 15mm Baseplate (RED V-RAPTOR). [0.78 lb] I was looking for the thinnest quick release plate I could use to go from shoulder mount, to sticks, to a Mōvi and this has worked perfectly. Works great with Wooden Camera quick release plate. Would highly recommend. 5

[0.78 lb] I use this with my Red Gemini and it works great for keeping a low profile in a low weight solution for dovetail applications going from tripod to gimbal to shoulder set ups. I use this with a 300mm (12 in) arri dovetail on the tripod to get good balance and it slides onto the wooden camera unified VCT wedge plate (B&H # WO223300) for shoulder work. This is the best solution out there for keeping the camera low on the shoulder or light on the tripod with lower center of gravity with 15mm lw rods. My only change would be the screws that come with it need to be lower profile to be even with the bottom of the camera. I switched those out for some WC low profile screws. 5

[12.1 oz / 342 g] This is a great setup for change overs when you are trying to go from tripod to shoulder mount. I have the entire Bright Tangerine system and it just works. You really do get what you pay for. The dovetail is an accurate size. This will last you forever. The rails are really super light and strong. They are very strong to be honest. You won't be disappointed with this setup if you need to change over quickly. 5

[0.78 lb] Using this plate to put a 30-300 PL on my C500 with 19mm studio setup. Note that you need the Bright Tangerine Left Feld lightweight base with their clamp plate in order to have proper spacing. Kind of pricey but works well. 5
