A: The Sennheiser MZQ 22 Double Tie Clip can be used for mounting either one or two lavalier microphones. The included mic holders that come with the clip are removable. There are a variety of reasons for using two microphones which could be for backup in case one mic fails or for stereo audio, or two mics can send separate audio feeds to two different destinations like two separate mixers, cameras, recorders, etc., or a combination of two devices which could be required for different applications. There is no set rule for how two lavalier mics can be used, but a double tie clip like the MZQ 22 is a very handy tool that will give you the option if the need for two microphones should arise.

A: According to Audio Technica this clip should fit any of their Audio-Technica case style M8's. The model number that you sent is incorrect they normally have 4 digits for the part number. But yours seems to be an 8 series so it should fit fine.

[Black] If you use Lapel Mics with a clip, this is the best of its kind to keep the Mic away from clothing etc. I use it with a Countryman B3 and a foam windscreen. No scratching or rubbing from shirts. 5

[Tie Clip] It's a shame you have to buy these in the 10 pack, but the price isn't too bad per piece. They're good clips, they are small enough that they don't stand out too much, and they hold on really well. I haven't worked extensively with other clips, so I don't have a good basis for comparison, but they certainly do their job. Our facility tends to put a lot of wear on these things, and they can really withstand a lot. 5

[Black] The double clip allows the MKE 2 to be positioned correctly while creating a loop as strain relief. I just wish it was more affordable. But the design is terrific, so I suppose it's worth the price. 5
