Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this legal in carry-on luggage?

A: It is not an item that is listed specifically as being prohibited on any airlines that we know of, however before traveling if you are concerned you are advised to contact the airline you are traveling on and the airports you are traveling through to see what the local rules and practices may dictate.

Q: 2. Is it normal for this monopod to exhibit quite a bit of flex at full extension? Even when each joint is stepped down an inch or so, will it still exhibit some flex being a monopod? Or should it feel very stiff and stout?

A: My Sirui P-326 flexes very little. even at full extension. I own three other monopods, all of which were purchased before I bought my 326. If I were to buy another monopod, it would surely be another 326. For me, it has the perfect blend of support and size and works very well with my Nikon 300S, even with my 80-400 mm telephoto lens attached.

Q: 3. If I pair this with a RRS MH-1 will it be a stable platform when used with a Canon 5DIII and a second gen Canon 400mm 2.8?

A: I used this on an offroad African safari. Nikon D810; Sirui G-20x head; Nikon 200-500 mm zoom. Worked like a champ. Does exactly what a mono pod should do which is provide extra stability for long lens shots. Very compact and light weight which makes this nicer than my sturdy but heavier Manfrotto Monopod.

Q: 4. Does this tripod supports a Nikon D850 with a 70-200mm lens?

A: The K&F Concept D225C2 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Arca-Type Ball Head and Monopod will hold a Nikon D850 with a 70-200 lens, but if you want it to be the most rock solid without any movement at all I recommend purchasing a stronger and heavier tripod.

Q: 5. Does the top plate contain a set screw to prevent an attached head from accidentally rotating?

A: No

Q: 6. Does this tripod support a Nikon D7200 with a 200-500mm lens?

A: The K&F Concept D225C2 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Arca-Type Ball Head and Monopod is technically rated to support 17 pounds. While the D7200 plus the 200-500mm lens is under 17 pounds, I would recommend a stronger tripod due to the long focal length. Something in the 30 pounds plus ranges such as this: https://bhpho.to/4chmmGI

Q: 7. Can anyone measure the diameter of the smallest leg section ? Thanks

A: The lowest leg section (smallest diameter) is 5/8 .

Q: 8. Is this monopod's spiked foot removable, in a similar manor to the Giottos?I want to add a set of legs to it, and the monopod would require a 3/8 threaded female opening once the spike is removed.

A: No, it doesn't appear that the spiked foot is removable. The lowest section has a nice rubber cap on it, which rotates. When you turn it clockwise, the spike is extruded, but does not appear removable. Turn the rubber foot counterclockwise, the spike retracts into the rubber foot. It looks like it can be used either with the rubber foot, or with the spike extruded; the inner channel of the rubber foot does not have the female threadings you are looking for.

Q: 9. Can I use this to attach a Nikon SB910 Speed light to and use as a light stick?

A: Yes

Q: 10. Can the ball head be detached from this tripod?

A: Yes, the ball head included with the K&F Concept D225C2 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Arca-Type Ball Head and Monopod is detachable.

[Arca-Type] I love this mono pod. It's comfortable, light, and strong. I put my Wimberley WH 100 gimbal on the mono pod to secure my Sony 400 F2.8 for wildlife photography. It's perfect. Excellent construction. Beautifully made.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] After quite a bit of research and comparison, I bought the ProMediaGear TR42ML for several reasons:
1) It extends to 81, so even facing downhill, it is always long enough. I never have to stoop (I am 5' 9).
2) The tubes are 42, 38, 34, and 30mm in diameter, made of 10-layer carbon-fiber. The monopod is quite rigid.
3) In case I want to mount my telephoto lens directly to the monopod, I can do so with a degree of front-to-back adjustment via the Arca plate/clamp for balance purposes. If you rotate your camera's Arca plate 90 degrees, you can do the same thing to balance a camera/lens combination, instead of it being front-heavy. You cannot do either with a monopod that simply has a threaded attachment at the top, unless you add in an Arca clamp.
4) The monopod comes with a spike that is securely stored in the rubber foot.
5) The materials, machining, and construction are all excellent.
I use mine plus a Wimberley Monogimbal with a Fujifilm GFX 100S, Fuji GF 250mm F4, and Fuji GF 1.4x TC. The latter three items weigh almost exactly 6 pounds. Though the monopod and gimbal adds an additional 2.5#, it makes for a much easier shooting experience when shooting for several hours at a time.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I love this tripod! It's compact yet very sturdy. I fly a lot and needed a lightweight, compact tripod that fits in luggage and doesn't add a lot of weight. This fits the bill. It's stout enough to hold both a video camera and a still camera and long lens.
