The ATW-T3201 is backwards compatible for use with older 3000 series receivers, as long as the transmitter and the receiver both operate within the same frequency band. The audio signal from the ATW-T3201 will transmit to the older 3000 series receiver, however, the battery strength icon and the signal strength indicator for audio will no longer appear on the receiver.
