Lighting designers looking for a full featured lighting controller will be pleased with the Lupo 120 Scene Setter 48 SC-2448, a 48-channel DMX dimmer console well suited for clubs, broadcast production, and theater.

The Scene Setter 48 features 48 sliders with intensity indicator LEDs and flash buttons, which bring an individual channel to full intensity. Save up to 48 programs easily by using the onboard program edit, which provides powerful functions with up to 4600 steps per program. There are various ways to run programs including Audio, Speed Slider, Standard Beat, and MIDI. Plus, you can run multiple programs synchronously. Both Single and Mix modes can operate simultaneously.

The rear panel offers three 5-pin DIN MIDI ports (In, Out, Thru), a 3-pin DMX out, and a 5-pin DIN fog machine input, which allows you to control any compatible fog or haze machine. Additional connectors include a 3.5mm audio input, which allows the controller to sync any incoming audio and a 1/4" remote input, which allows you to use a switch for full on or black out. A 12 VDC power adapter is included.

A: This can be used for LED Pars but is not ideal for them as each fader will access one feature of the LED par so depending on the channel mode you can burn through channels quickly. If you have several pars set to the same dmx channel and can get by with 48 channels than this will work for you.A better option for LED pars is the RGB3C IR or the RGBW 4C IR as there are presets and built in programs. These are specifically built for LED pars.Another option would be something like the DMX operator series or the Show designer 1 if you wanted run scenes and programs that you have created, but not adjust colors on the fly (as this can be cumbersome with this option).

[16.635 lb] We've only had this set up for a week, but so far it's been perfect. We just needed something small and easy to use and this really fit the bill. It works exactly at expected and everything you need for a setup is included in one small box. I was expecting the cables to be a bit longer (I think they are 10'), but they work for us for right now. I was also really impressed with how quickly it shipped. 5

[48 Faders] I recently got interested in Arri halogen lighting. I love the color of the lights but I do not like that the dimmer or on / off switch is not centrally controlled. The CHAUVET DJ DMX-4LED 4-Channel Dimmer Pack allows me to control up to 8 outlets remotely via DMX. The controller works great as a remote dimmer that I can now program into my looks, scenes, and/or chases. The four channels work great and are very easy to learn. 5

[16.635 lb] I use this with my Smith-Victor lights with CREE and/or FEIT 5000 Kelvin LED dimmable lamps and pass through to my Chauvet PAR56 lights. The CREE and FEIT maintain a steady white balance and my Nikon DSLR cameras match them perfectly. They are on DMX channels 1-3. The DMX pass through then goes to the PAR 56 as channel 4. 5

[16.635 lb] Our theater group owns one, but needed another and we just purchased a new one so now have 2, thus can double the number of separately-cued instruments/groups of lighting instruments on our small community theater stage. Works well; you haver to spend a bit of learning how to program it, but once you figure out your set-up its ready to go, trouble-free compact. 5

[16.635 lb] Running our church house lights off these as a replacement to Leviton wall switch dimmers that were causing flickering. We installed two of these dimmer packs and connected approximately 95 LED ceiling fixtures spread out over six of the available eight channels we have with the two packs. Each fixture is a 10w LED bulb from a big orange box store. Our electrician said we are pulling approximately 1 amp on each string of lights. Integrated into the rest of our DMX stage lighting system piece of cake. Planning to purchase a spare to have on the shelf just in case. 5
