Q: 1. I'm looking for something that will allow me to connect multiple speaker types to my mixer to monitor music productions from different speakers. I need to send audio out from the main mix on my mixer to powered studio monitors, and non powered PA speakers (the audio would go into the built in mixer that acts as the amp for the speakers and go to the speakers from there) as well as running to a stereo amp unit (connects with RCA type audio connectors, so would run 1/4 to RCA cable) that is running subwoofers? I have been warned that running powered sound into powered speakers can be bad, so that is why I am wondering if this would be a good solution for my usage. Thanks!

A: I have this unit and it works great for the intended purpose, but I don't think I would want to use it for what you have described. It probably could do the job, but it sounds as if you need a good mixer instead. All my mixers have had monitor outputs, main outputs, and an RCA line-level output for recording (often labelled tape ). It sounds as if all your needs could be met by a decent mixer with a full compliment of outputs.

Q: 2. Will this work with both Anaolg and Digital Signals?

A: I have used it in a couple of churches using HD cameras. And it has worked very well.

Q: 3. Can I terminate (8) CAT6A to a patch panel first before the VDA? I am concerned about the weight of cables connected to the VDA

A: Yes, it would be possible to terminate the Ethernet cables before the VDA of the KanexPro 1x8 HDMI Distribution Amplifier and Cat 5e/6 Extender Kit (18 Gb/s) as long as the patches are one to one. Please note that your transmission distance may be reduced when using a patch panel.

Q: 4. How to get more me function

A: The HA 8000 features 8 independent headphone amplifiers. You are able to select one of two available stereo inputs to the unit. There is also a direct in available on each of the 8 amps which will take priority to that input when connected. You are only able to adjust overall level of the selected in (main 1, or main 2).

A: This can be used to distribute tri-level sync, but not time code specifically.

A: KanexPro 1x8 HDMI Distribution Amplifier and Cat 5e/6 Extender Kit (18 Gb/s) would take HD and 4k contend into the extender and send out up to 8 of the same signal over HDMI. It does not have a scaler so whatever resolution or framerate you put in would be duplicated on the 8 HDMI outputs. The kit supports resolutions UP to 4k@50/60hz 4:4:4.

[Up to 24-bit] This unit is truly plug and play. I am using this in a medium sized conference room to split video between two Epson 1080p projectors. One run is going 90' using 60' & 30' Redmere cables with a coupler. The other is going 50' with a Redmere cable. Inline before this unit I have a 4 way HDMI auto switch that goes to wall HDMI plugs for source selection. So, the signal is passing through multiple long HDMI cables (all Redmere) and couplers before it gets to this unit. I had tried a cheap $ HDMI splitter which didn't have the power to pass both signals. This unit has the power and just works. 5

[6.75 W] In remodeling my home, I wanted to synchronize one pair of TVs (Master Bedroom and Master Bath) and one triple of TVs (Kitchen, Family Room and Sun Room) to eliminate audio echoing between connected rooms. Each group is fed by the HDMI output of one cable box. I was told by my local A/V company that this was risky because of the +60 cabling distances required and the load on the cable boxes. I installed one Kramer 1:2 Distribution Amplifier and one Kramer 1:3 Distribution Amplifier. Cable runs were in made in-wall using 3 Kramer 66 Optical HDMI cables. Results? Perfection! 5

[6.75 W] This pushes HDMI signal just right for me. Had two 100' runs for this to 2 monitors with no artifacts or loss of color or clarity. It had a 100' run from the switcher so 200' no issues. Perfect little box and man are they pricey though for 1x2. 5

[YUV, RGB] I bought this to replace a dying switch. It is everything I hoped it would be. It solved three separate troubles we had with power switching on end devices. Device on or off caused Mac to loose its display config. The switch blocks the signal with EDID. Will definitely consider Kramer for future needs. 5

[600 MHz] Using in concert with Kramer 571 and 572 HDMI over CAT6 pico tools. Running signal 100' with no issues at all. Have an extra switchable input available for the future. Accessories make for a clean rack installation. 5

[YUV, RGB] I got this switcher to prepare for a class on digital tools for scientific content. The class is an instrumentation review of consumer cameras and editing with Premier Pro CC. I use the switcher to send computer and camera output to a projector and Matrox Monarch HD device for recording output. The VM-24HC device puts out a very clean and stable signal and has a remote to change inputs. Nice tool for my needs to change 2 HDMI inputs. 5
