Excelling at close range, the Fujifilm XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro Lens with UV Filteris a 91mm-equivalent prime featuring a 1:2 maximum magnification along with a 10.5" minimum focusing distance. A maximum f/2.4 aperture suits working in a variety of lighting conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field. The optical design features one aspherical element and one extra-low dispersion element, which help to reduce both spherical and chromatic aberrations for increased sharpness and clarity. A Super EBC coating has also been applied to suppress flare and ghosting when working in bright and backlit conditions.

Q: 1. is it possible to use this lens ( Fujifilm 18mm f/2.0 XF R Lens ) on aps-c based Nikon camera , and if there is adapter for that ?

A: Nope. distance from flange to focal plane already shorter than Nikon, so no adapter is possible. use Nikon's excellent 35/1.8 on their APS-C cameras.

Q: 2. If this lens manual and autofocus?

A: the lens itself has NO manual-autofocus switch, but it can be use in each way from the camera control

Q: 3. Would this lens work to take children's indoor sports shots? Would it fit on a Fuji S8500?

A: The focal length will be too short for kids indoor sports. My favorite lens for that use is the Fuji 90mm f2. The focal length is great and the bright aperture works indoors without a flash.

Q: 4. Does this lens (referring to physical length / size) cause any shadows to be cast in the final picture when using the built in flash on the XT-10?

A: I use this lens on an X Pro2 so I can't really answer the Q. But it is a very short and not very wide lens. I can't imagine that it would interfere in any way.

Q: 5. Is this lens appropriate for food photography?

A: I'd strongly recommend that you rent it first.The lens has not been received all that well. I didn't care for it, and B&H was very good about letting me return it. . I'm waiting for the Fuji 120mm macro.

A: Yes. Like all x Mount Fuji lenses.

Q: 7. Which extension tube is recommended with this? To go to 1:1?

A: We could find not information supporting using an extension tube for this lens . However, we feel the FUJIFILM MCEX-16 16mm Extension Tube for FUJIFILM X-Mount B&H # FUMCEX16 should get you where you want to go.

A: The focus motor does produce noise while recording video.

Q: 10. Does this 60mm Macro have a flat field; that is how is the edge-to-edge sharpness? Are there specs available on that issue?

A: All testing thus day is a definitive Yes ! I am doing a few tests with round, oblong, and colors using daylight bulbs and am fascinated to say the least. I cannot wait to get my Fuji extension tubes to get even closer. Check out the reviews by looking @ the Fujicolor sight about this lens. Look at the pros and see for yourself. I am a semi- pro and have been shooting since 1963 w/ Nikons since 1977. Have NOT Seen better than what I've been able to achieve with this lens.

[Autofocus] This lens is great for close macro shots - photos are clear and the lens is a pleasure to use as well. I have been trying it out for the past few days on things around the neighborhood and backyard and the results are stunning! 5

[39 mm (Front)] I bought my first Fuji camera for the purpose of having something to take on walks and keep with me at most times. Starting out, I could only afford one lens and wanted one that didn't weigh too much and could produce beautiful images, including macros. This lens has more than met my expectations. Paired with the X-T4, it will fit in a small bag and weighs under 2lbs. I have been very impressed with the image quality. It produces tack sharp images with pleasing backgrounds. The bokeh is not as lovely as what my Nikon would produce, but then the Nikon is so heavy that it tends to sit abandoned at home. The lens will sometimes hunt a bit in low light, but it's never been so stubborn finding focus that it became a deal breaker. Then again, I'm patient. Here is a sample shot. It has had no post processing at all. I have only resized (without sharpening) to make it more web friendly. I highly recommend this lens. 5

[39 mm (Front)] I got the 60mm after trying the 80 mm. The 60 is everything that the 80 isn't. Light, quick focusing, quiet, and very handy for general use. It is sharp and everything I hoped for. 5

[APS-C] This is pretty much the only fast(ish) Fuji prime that I don't have, and as a biologist who loves macro photography, it was always something I was going to buy, but simply never got round to. Well, it takes razor sharp pics, is brilliant at close-ups (not true macro, but good enough). Is great for landscapes and portraits. Reviewers are critical of it's focus speed. I don't know what they expect - let me tell you, on my old X-T1 it focuses plenty fast enough and nails focus virtually every time with 100% accuracy. It is easy to use TTL flash with and is ultra sharp from f2.4 through to the smaller apertures. This is a gem of a lens....I have the Canon 180mm macro and 100mm macro, and have used these extensively. This small ultra light lens is so much easier and far more fun to use. It takes seriously good images.......just buy it, it's exceptional value for money. 5
