[4 lb] I work out of a mini sprinter so using space for large frame pieces and 4x4's isn't ideal. I own 2 of the 6x6 and 3 of the 4x4 pop up frames from chimera. They fit in a cart bag and can be assembled in minutes. These are light enough to hold with a single c-stand indoors.

[38 x 4.8 x 4.8"] A few months ago I bought the 48x48 Chimera reflector frame and I instantly fell in love with it that I needed a 72x72 in my kit. I love how compact it is. The ease of use when collapsing and building is amazing. This is ideal either as a solo shooter or working with a team. Built quality feels great, too.

[38 x 4.8 x 4.8"] Frames are quite expensive for what they are, but for the speed and ease on set they will be money makers.

Using two in a book light for a sit-down interview travel kit (their head is usually best at 3' off the floor). Works perfectly with the one edge tied together, indoors without any wind, no stands or sandbags required.

The 6x6 will for sure need support on each side if used outdoors or overhead, but being such a light frame, wind is your biggest hidden safety worry, not just supporting a heavy butterfly frame.

Contacted a local film rag maker, and they are sewing up lots of custom options for me that are 1/2-2/3rds the cost of the Chimera or TRP branded ones off B&H. Just an FYI if you have a good shop locally and need to get a bunch. (BestFilmServices in Vancouver BC is amazing, adding Velcro loops to tighten the long edges and corners, with elastic for quick set ups as well.)

[4 lb] If you have ever set up a tent with the rods held together by rope, it is essentially a bigger, more robust version of that. It was very easy to set up and breaks down into a small bag. This will definitely be going with me wherever I go.

[38 x 4.8 x 4.8"] This thing is super lightweight and collapses down to nothing. For my intended use case I think it's perfect: a quick, lightweight 6x6 I that can wedge into my increasingly stuffed video trailer. Downside: if you are going to lift the frame off of the ground and angle it at all, you really need a stand on both sides, or it starts to warp. You should probably do this anyway, but a sturdier frame from say, Modern Studio would be much more robust. Something like that is also a lot heavier, takes a lot longer to assemble, and is a bit more expensive.

[4 lb] Strong, quick to setup.

[38 x 4.8 x 4.8"] I’ve turned several pro DP friends onto these. Super light and folds up 3’ x 5”. Great for a small lighting package, or when shooting in a hurry. Biggest frame you can get in a sedan, super light so no need for beefy combo stands etc.

Tip: Buy real 6x6’ rags from the grip house, modern studio etc, they fit perfectly
