The Pelican 1400 Case with Foam (Orange) is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical-resistant and corrosion-proof hard case used to carry any kind of equipment that needs to be protected from the elements. It is made of Ultra-High Impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. It has a 0.25" (6.4mm) neoprene o-ring, and easy-open double throw latches that seal perfectly. It includes an automatic pressure equalization valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. It is carried by a folding molded handle.

This case has a 3-piece foam interior.

Q: 1. Hi, I am trying to make a steel panel to put above the bottom foam. The shape of the panel is just the same to the foam. The size is slightly bigger than the foam so it could be sitting on the interior edge of the box. Could you please provide the dimensions of the foam along with the corner specifications as well? If you could provide the specifications for the interior edge that would be really appreciated.

A: We mount our panel to a panel frame (1400pf) so the panel ends up level with the top of the ledge of the case. Not sure if the top will close if you mount the panel on the ledge.

Q: 2. Will this case fit under an airline seat. I'm flying to Europe and I am wondering if I can stow this under a seat? Thanks

A: Yes, while you will not have a lot of room for much else a Pocket Cinema Camera 6K will fit.

A: Just your fingers, can create tight fit for your equipment. Be cautious, once removed, always removed.

Q: 8. Will this case fit a Canon 70-200 is mkii and a Canon 6D?

A: I personally wouldn't recommend it for regular large telephoto-zoom lens, like 70-200L, 200L or100-400l type sizes, plus a 6D camera body..I prefer deeper(depth cases with plenty of clearance for foam dampening-I have the 1450 for battery, Flash and misc electronic accessories... Check out slightly deeper sizes up with similar length wide dimensions...

Q: 9. How many Fuji X series lenses have people got in one of these?

A: That is all dependent on the size of the Fuji X lenses.

[Handle] great case up and down their lineup, the 1400 is perfect to hold my chargers, wireless microphones , voltage, battery cable testers! I have 3 of these 1400s and they are fantastic!! 5

[Cubed Foam] So I order some more Pelican Cases, you can never have enough. They are great to put some gear on, I got x4, to put some Hard Drives and a HD monitor. With the Plug-out foam already on the case, it' so easy to custom made any shape of your equipment. I also have all yellow cases so is great that you can have different colors for different uses. 5

[Yes] I got this case the Fluke network analyzer we use in our managed services practice. The instructions suggest outlining your equipment with some type of marker before cutting the foam. I used toothpicks and it worked great. Since the foam is perforated it cuts easily and looks nice. The quality of the case is evident and I'm happy with the protection it's giving our gear. 5

[Latch] I'm a video professional and haul my gear to location daily. Every piece of gear gets a black pelican case, and although the price of all those cases can add up, it beats the cost of repairing equipment. These things are very rugged and waterproof, and I prefer them over all the other major case manufacturers. 5
