The Pelican 1400 Case with Foam (Yellow) is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical-resistant and corrosion-proof hard case used to carry any kind of equipment that needs to be protected from the elements. It is made of Ultra-High Impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. It has a 0.25" (6.4mm) neoprene o-ring, and easy-open double throw latches that seal perfectly. It includes an automatic pressure equalization valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. It is carried by a folding molded handle.

This case has a 3-piece foam interior.

Q: 1. Hi, I am trying to make a steel panel to put above the bottom foam. The shape of the panel is just the same to the foam. The size is slightly bigger than the foam so it could be sitting on the interior edge of the box. Could you please provide the dimensions of the foam along with the corner specifications as well? If you could provide the specifications for the interior edge that would be really appreciated.

A: We mount our panel to a panel frame (1400pf) so the panel ends up level with the top of the ledge of the case. Not sure if the top will close if you mount the panel on the ledge.

Q: 2. i have a d7100 with 18 - 140 and 55 - 300 will this case hold these items? Thanks.

Q: 3. Will this case hold the Tamron 150-600 mm with the tripod collar on?

A: it will fit it , but not attached to a body if you will detach the body from the lens it will be fit both of them.

Q: 4. Can this fit a Matterport Pro2 camera?

A: I wouldnt recommend the height of this case to house a Nikon D610 + battery grip because the Nikon would be 4.4 high and then adding the battery grip I was looking at it is 1.8 for a total of 6.2 leaving hardly and room in the 1520 case. It is only 6.7-8 wide to fit inside.Robert

Q: 6. Does it fit a Sony Ax100 or Ax700 camcorder?

A: I am almost sure it will fit even with all accessories. Just cut the foam and make a nice fit. The 1400 (I use black) is the most rugged case you can have for the price. I use it on my manufactured industrial systems under extreme conditions even in ocean oil rigs.

A: I believe the 1200 case is bit to small, you should measure the device & refer to the Pelican case site for dimensions on the next size case !

Q: 9. Will the pelican 1520 fit a canon eos-1ds mark ii upright? The camera is 6.2 inches tall; just wondering how it will fit with the foam bottom. I want to put it in lens attatched.

[Yes] Pelican provides this smaller case that delivers protection from water and dust. Its internal O ring design provides an effective seal against moisture. As with all Pelican cases the exterior is designed for rough service. It keeps gear well protected under most conditions. If storing cameras or other equipment for a long time be sure to put in a silica gel desiccant to protect the pluck foam from mold growth. 5

[Handle] I'm a video professional and haul my gear to location daily. Every piece of gear gets a black pelican case, and although the price of all those cases can add up, it beats the cost of repairing equipment. These things are very rugged and waterproof, and I prefer them over all the other major case manufacturers. 5
