Q: 1. How does IP addressing work? Does the unit pull 4 IPs from my network or reuse 1? I am trying to determine if I will end up with a quad-display inside one of the camera zone's on my NVR.

A: All this unit does is convert the Ethernet signal to work over coax, your router will still provide each device with an IP address. You will still need the VHW-HWPS-C to make this work properly.

Q: 2. Can it be use with a RED dragon and Sounddevice mixpre3 ?

A: I'm sure you can feed the TC in on the Sound Devices with the cable included with the nano lockit. However, the Red cameras need a proprietary adapter cable to feed TC in through a BNC connector. That means you'd also need the lemo to BNC output cable for the nano lockit. Hope that makes sense!

Q: 3. Can it be used as wireless follow focus itself ?

A: You can choose any of three functions, focus, zoom, iris. However, you must also have the controller, motor and cables.

Q: 4. You can get two Atomos UltraSync Ones for less than this, and those have displays. Is there some advantage to NanoLockit?

A: Professional gear is more reliable and has the features professionals need. The Ambient Recording ACN-NL-L NanoLockit Miniature Timecode Synchronizer with Logging Feature (2-Pack) is professional gear.

Q: 5. Are these hardware version 2 or newer? They need to be to be compatible with the TL-MC1400 and TL-FC1420 rack mount chassis.

A: The TP-Link MC220L Gigabit SFP Media Converter BH #TPMC220L version we are offering are V4.6 or later.

Q: 6. I assume that this device can be used in conjunction with the Powerstar Quad? Can the veracity highwire vhw-hw be used instead with the Quad and have a power supply on the Quad?

A: Yes you can since the Quad accepts PoE and non PoE IP cameras.

Q: 7. Do I need a special cable to connect the NanoLockit Miniature to a Sony FX9 camera?

A: Yes, you will need the Ambient Recording LTC-OUT Lockit Time Code Out to BNC / L5P-BNC(BH #AMLTCOUT) to connect the Ambient Recording NanoLockit Miniature Timecode Synchronizer with Logging Feature to your FX9.

Q: 8. Up to 1600' using RG11 cable at full rate. Does this mean a maximum distance is capable of 1600' on RG-11 or means a further distance is achievable but signal speed would decrease and not run at 200 mbps?

A: The details about the distance is due to the Bandwidth limitation.

Q: 9. Can you connect the NanoLockit Miniature to a 19v D-Tap external battery using the USB adapter?

A: The Ambient Recording NanoLockit has 25 hours of operation on a full charge. Full charge in two hours; fast charge in 15 minutes for four hours of operation. However, Yes you could use an external battery to charge the Lockit. However, 25hrs of runtime it is not really necessary.

Q: 10. Is this only compatible with Axis equipment? or can this be used as a media converter & switch ?

A: The Axis Communications T8607 Media Converter Switch (24 VDC) can be used with non-AXIS equipment as a media converter and switch.

[SC Duplex] Don't forget to buy SFP's separately, but if you do that - this should work well for converting ethernet to fiber in either direction. Simple to use and worked, so we're happy! 5

[3.52 oz / 100 g] I am impressed to say the least. I brought two units and they are being used well over 500 feet. I have had no issues with signal degrading. I highly recommend this unit if you need to tranfer data over a very long distance. 5
