The Pelican 1490 Attache/Computer Case without Foam (Black) is a watertight, dustproof and corrosion proof case with a slim attache design. It is designed to carry a laptop computer with a screen up to 17" and accessories. The case has a built-in purge valve for changes in altitude or temperature and locking latches with keys. It is carried by a padded folding handle, and an optional removable padded ergonomic shoulder strap.

A: Yes, the Pelican 1495 laptop case has pick-and-pluck foam which can be customized to fit your 14" Macbook Pro.

Q: 6. Is this computer case sold with a strap?

A: Yes, it is. And actually, it is kind of a nice strap, long and comfortable, that I use it with other cases and bags I have. It is easy to unstrap and put back on. As for the case itself, NOTHING, absolutely nothing as good as this on the market! If you don't mind the bulk, but like the protection, yes, best case out there.

Q: 7. will this fit a dell that is 15 wide and 10 deep with charger ?

A: It'll fit a 15 laptop and charger, but this is a briefcase and is not 10 deep.

Q: 8. Where do I put the charger?

A: You may or may not have room inside this case for assessories such as a charging cord, etc. It will depend on the size of your computer. Make sure you verify the size of your computer and the size of this case. Full sized computers like mine will NOT leave enough room for a charger due to the large square electrical box in the center but an external mouse will barely fit, midi and other similar cords can fit under the foam.

[6.45 lb] The case is being used to protect my $6k MacbookPro in transit. The waterproof feature and customizable foam are killer Knowing that the computer can be accidentally dropped in a pool or at sea, during a party and be undamaged is a relief in itself. The case permits housing the charger, cables, mouse, and hard-drives, as well. It will require some patience to cut the foam to your size specs. I used a olfa blade knife. 5

[6.45 lb] Exactly as described in specs, Q&A, Reviews. Versatile Spacious Tough Heavy Upgraded my laptop for new volunteer position that requires portable office. This case accommodates everything, including electronics, documents. Didn't realize how heavy it is, until I picked it up. Likely add wider, padded, shoulder strap, from camera gear stash. [Handle] Without the foam the case perfectly fit an 17.3 inch ASUS-Strix. The original Pelican foam is not good for this laptop (415 mm / 285 mm). 5

[Latch] Wonderful sturdy case, exactly as advertised. Leather right side pockets are a bit awkward, though useable for a variety of different items. Would recommend this to everyone. 5

[Latch] I've used a 1490 for years to protect my drum mics, however I now have more mics and I can't fit them all into just one case so I bought another because they are that good. I know it says this is a computer case but it is the perfect size and depth to hold my microphones. Don't forget to check out the strap for this case (not included). 5

[Empty] I ordered this for my laptop, the foam can be adjusted to fit it perfectly and with the locks and the hard exterior, I feel as long as it doesn't fall off a bridge my laptop will be protected, I am very happy and content with my purchase, and would recommend pelican cases to anyone who wants maximum protection for most typical use circumstances. 5
